14 year old german boy BEHEADED by muslim refugee +++"In the photo, he proudly wears his father’s hard hat, a yellow safety vest, and safety goggles. His hero was “Bob the Builder,” and construction sites had fascinated him since he was a child. Now Jermaine (14) from Memmingen has been killed—in a building slated for demolition, by “violence to the neck.”+++ He entered a empty house where a "refugee" from Palestina was housing. He was beheaded. The killer managed to escape from the police 2 times. When he was surrounded by police he attacked them with a knife and was shot to death. German media is really silent about this. This is the country we living in where our youth get´s their head cut off by illegal muslim savages. boards.4chan.org/pol/thread/534…

Yesterday, Divers doing a routine maintenance check at the Converse Reservoir Dam in Mobile, AL discovered an underwater grenade type IED. The FBI bomb squad had to be called in to safely detonate it. The Reservoir and Dam are critical infrastructure, and this is being called “an unprecedented threat“ The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has been made aware of the situation.

So something social media did, maybe especially Facebook, is flatten out the extremely complicated landscape of human relationships into "friends" or not. Basically anyone you ever met, including matriarchs and patriarchs of families, parents, etc., plus people you barely know or might work with or just met a couple times or had similar politics or random hobbies as all got dumped into "people I know," and the results were social bedlam. We don't interact in real life like everyone we know has the same social standing or would even be allowed to see how we act with other people in different social relationships. You wouldn't act in front of a respected grandmother the way you cut up with your boys or even work or political stuff. The inherent respect is bulldozed by the medium. The algorithms (and the AI driving them) are doing this kind of flattening out of a complicated and subtle landscape again. The results are already bad and will likely be bedlam. The thing doesn't know if you engaged or even just hesitated over, or shared, content because you liked it, hated it, were outraged by it, thought it was amusing but unimportant, had to sneeze, got talked to by a real person and paused your scroll, were confused by the content, etc., and then it just feeds you more of it like you liked it and want it shoveled into your brain. This isn't good. The same is true not just of content, though, but also of its producers. It's another weird kind of flattening and mixing of a complex social reality, now mixed with a lot of unreality too, and it's simply not good. It isn't just that it's unsatisfying or annoying, though. It's that it can radicalize, frustrate, demoralize, and primrose-path people into bad places psychologically very easily. I don't know what we should do with these technologies, but I don't find it surprising that we have such enormous apparent rises in social, spiritual, emotional, and psychological sicknesses since they've been introduced and become such an integral part of everyday life, and that's without the distraction, addiction, and inherently quasi-antisocial nature of the whole activity.

**Horrific Child Abuse Case in Utah** Police say a couple tortured their 11-year-old son for years before killing him, then staged his body to look like a suicide. Brigham Young Merrell, 35, and Melinda Marie Merrell, 36, were arrested on May 7, 2026. On September 21, 2025, Brigham called 911 claiming he found his son Moroni hanging from a coaxial cable. Bodycam and home surveillance footage allegedly show him carrying the boy’s lifeless body upstairs *while* first responders were knocking on the door. He wasn’t performing CPR and later left the room to change clothes. The autopsy revealed injuries inconsistent with hanging, including ligature marks from another source and fresh bruising on his back. Surviving siblings told investigators the boy endured years of beatings with belts, pans, and spoons, starvation, and being locked in a dog kennel as punishment. The parents allegedly admitted to some of the abuse and tried to cover up visible bruises. Within days of Moroni’s death, the family reportedly threw out items, painted walls, and rearranged rooms. Both parents face first-degree felony charges including child torture and child abuse homicide. They remain in jail. This is pure evil. Justice for Moroni. Prayers for his surviving siblings. 💔

So much suffering caused by one person 😡. A Co Limerick farmer has become an outcast in his own community after pleading guilty to one of the most disturbing cases of animal cruelty ever brought before an Irish court. Seamus Looby, 68, of Raheen, Garryspillane, admitted 173 offences relating to the neglect and suffering of hundreds of calves found across 100 acres of his farmland between March and September 2022. He faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to €250,000. The court heard details that were deeply harrowing. On August 16th, 2022, Department of Agriculture veterinary inspector Chris Normoyle visited Looby's lands following a complaint. What he found stopped him in his tracks. A distinctive smell of decomposing animals hung over the property. Dead calves lay across the land in various states of decay. Others were still alive — but barely. Normoyle, speaking from 21 years of professional experience, told the court it was, in his opinion, one of the worst cases of animal neglect he had ever encountered. Arthur O'Connor from the department's investigations unit described the full extent of what was found. Large numbers of dead calves were scattered across the farmland. Others were alive but in severe distress — severely dehydrated, grunting and panting, some with their eyes pecked out by scavengers. Calves that had tried to reach a stream on the property had drowned in the water, too weak to pull themselves out. Calf spinal cords, jawbones, hip bones and leg bones were found scattered across the fields. There was also evidence suggesting some carcasses had been burned, though Looby denied any involvement in that. The calves that were still clinging to life when inspectors arrived were humanely euthanized to end their suffering. Prosecuting counsel Lily Buckley told the court that the calves required milk feeding twice daily but had received none. They were, she said, totally neglected. Looby admitted 67 counts of breaching his duty to protect animal welfare, 68 counts of causing unnecessary suffering and danger to the calves, 27 counts of failing to comply with animal welfare notices issued during the investigation, and 11 counts of breaching EU regulations on animal byproducts — 173 guilty pleas in total out of 318 charges brought against him. His barrister, senior counsel Colman Cody, argued that Looby had been manipulated into the situation by another man — not before the court — who had allegedly taken possession of the calves from farmers who considered them to be of low or no value, fraudulently signed documentation using another farmer's signature, and was supposed to arrange and pay for the animals' feed. That man subsequently ended up in Wheatfield Prison on unrelated criminal charges and the feed payments stopped entirely. While O'Connor agreed under cross-examination that Looby did not appear to be the mastermind behind the operation, he noted that the full nature of the relationship between the two men remained unclear. Cody acknowledged the gravity of what occurred on Looby's land, describing his client as shameful and remorseful. He told the court that Looby has since signed over the running of the farm to other family members, who were present in court to support him — though struggling to understand how he had allowed himself to become involved. The farming community has not been forgiving. Cody told the court that Looby has become a pariah among his neighbours as a result of what happened on his land. It is not Looby's first encounter with animal cruelty charges. In 2018, he was fined €1,150, ordered to pay €1,000 to the ISPCA, and restricted from owning dogs following a previous conviction. Judge Fiona O'Sullivan remanded Looby on continuing bail to June 3rd to fix a sentencing date.

A donkey skin sells in Kenya for $130. Boiled into a Chinese beauty product called ejiao, it becomes part of an $8 billion industry. Almost 6 million donkeys are killed every year to feed it. The finished products are sold on Amazon. Ejiao is a kind of gelatin made by simmering donkey skin for hours. It's mixed into face creams, anti-aging pills, candies, and tonics. Even China's own health regulator has admitted ejiao is just boiled donkey skin. No clinical trials show that it works. But a hit Chinese TV drama called Empress in the Palace put it back in fashion around 2012. The country's growing middle class started taking it for anemia, fatigue, miscarriage, even premature aging. Donkeys can't reproduce that fast. A female donkey is pregnant for 12 full months and has just one foal at a time. She doesn't start breeding until age two or three. So when Chinese demand exploded, China's own donkey population collapsed from 11 million in 1992 to under 2 million by 2020. The hunt then went global. Africa has roughly 33 million donkeys, two-thirds of the world's supply. Botswana's donkey population has halved since 2016. In Kenya, government-approved slaughterhouses killed about half the country's donkeys in three years. According to The Donkey Sanctuary, 41% of African donkey owners surveyed had at least one animal stolen. Donkeys are walked for weeks across borders, denied food and water, until they collapse. They're hit on the head with sledgehammers. Their throats are slit. Some are still breathing when they're skinned. A 2017 PETA investigation in China found foals as young as 5 months old killed this way. Up to one in five donkeys dies before reaching the slaughterhouse. In February 2024, all 55 African Union countries voted to ban the trade for 15 years across the continent. China is Africa's biggest trading partner. The continent banned this trade anyway. The Donkey Sanctuary still projects demand will hit 6.8 million skins a year by 2027. Within weeks of the ban, donkey theft spiked across Africa. The trade went underground. Chinese companies are now in talks to set up donkey farms in Pakistan instead. A donkey in rural Africa is often a family's only way to fetch water, carry goods to market, and send kids to school. When it gets stolen overnight, the women and children become the donkey. They walk further with heavier loads. The girls drop out of school first. The donkey in this photo is leaning against a wall because it's exhausted. The industry on its back is worth $8 billion.

@SLCScanner I walk every day in my city & encounter ebikes & escooters daily. Most don't have any regard for pedestrians, & ride too fast/close to me. I've had so many close calls that when I see one coming, I just yield the sidewalk to them for my own safety. I'm fed up.

We need to talk seriously about what’s happening in Utah on May 6th. Utah’s Senate Bill 73. Lawmakers claim they are "protecting the youth" with online age-verification rules, but they have decided that VPNs are the real problem. This is why the legislation has serious flaws: The law creates an impossible compliance problem. SB 73 makes websites responsible if a user is in Utah, even if they use a VPN to hide their location. Technically, it is impossible to block every VPN, proxy, or private tunnel because IP addresses change all the time. By forcing websites to try to detect what cannot be detected, the law leaves platforms with two choices: block everyone in Utah or require invasive ID checks for all users. The bill also restricts security education. It bans platforms from giving instructions on how to use a VPN to get around location blocks. Making it illegal to explain how a legal privacy tool works is a direct attack on free speech and security education. VPNs are not loopholes. Lawmakers are treating privacy tools as if they are illegal. In reality, VPNs are essential for security. Journalists use them to protect sources, and abuse survivors rely on them for safety. Even the U.S. military requires service members to use VPNs on outside networks. Everyone needs them to keep data brokers and malicious actors from accessing their information. This law will not stop determined teenagers from getting around the blocks quickly. Instead, it will punish regular people who just want to protect their privacy online. Utah is setting a dangerous example by putting government control ahead of the basic structure of a secure internet. Regulators in other places are watching closely. If a policy can be easily bypassed by common security tools, the problem is not the technology. The problem is the policy. #PrivacyMatters

So I’ve been trying to process how all this came to be this morning, and I think I’ve settled on a pretty solid theory. The conservative movement is fractured right now. Everybody knows that. Candace Owens took a lot of the “woke right” audience with her when she departed in 2024. Not only that, after Trump was sworn in again, they lost a ton of the casual election audience, and ad revenue has been down ever since. But it’s more than just that... The Daily Wire has been hemorrhaging cash for a while now, mostly due to the failed entertainment ambitions of Jeremy Boreing. The theatrical release of Am I Racist, in particular, was a huge gamble that did not pay off. Combine that with the low performance of DW as a conservative streaming service, and it required them to restructure. Boreing was released last year so that this could be accomplished. So what do they do? Well, they can’t be the entertainment juggernaut they so desperately wanted to be anymore, so they decided, “Hey, we need to keep a hold of the audience we already have.” Who is their primary audience? A big chunk of it is conservative Catholics and evangelicals. So they have decided to throw their lot in with theological discussion in an effort to keep these guys around. Enter Matt Fradd. Latter-day Saints, while staunchly conservative and strong political allies, are not nearly as big as the audience they are now catering to. And anti-Mormon sentiment is, and always has been, strong in these communities. Since Matt Fradd was brought on in February, he has gone on at least three anti-Mormon tirades, this most recent one actually under the Daily Wire masthead. But what’s more is that this shift toward a more directly anti-Mormon posture manifested itself as early as September 2025, when news director Cabot Phillips responded to LDS X influencer @sister_slay, completely unprompted, attacking Joseph Smith and LDS beliefs. This behavior was, while soundly ratioed by LDS X users, not condemned or addressed publicly by anyone at the Daily Wire. So it is clear what the Daily Wire is now. It is not the same DW that it was when Donald Trump was re-inaugurated. It has changed to cater to a hyper-creedalist theology in an attempt to keep the doors open. This is who the Daily Wire is now. And it is clear their LDS audience has been sacrificed. So, my fellow Latter-day Saints, I say it is time we follow the advice of @JeremyDBoreing, and that is to not give money to people who hate you.
Dave Chadwick - Author@DChadwickAuthor

What is going on at the @dailywireplus ? I supported this organization for literally years, and now they are pushing me away. Why are they doing this? @benshapiro
