I'm still early in my film review of the game yesterday but one takeaway I quickly gathered in the 1st quarter offensively was Miami was a few ancillary efforts away from having the same explosive play results they found later. On Achane's big 3rd and long screen, Jonnu Smith doesn't climb up to block the backside safety despite having inside leverage — this player forces Achane to put a move on him down the field and slows him up enough that a would-be touchdown gets caught from behind. On the missed connection on the deep corner with Tua and Tyreek, Jacksonville crashes the DE and Terron Armstead washes him down to protect the back block coming from Aaron Brewer. This looks like a change of assignment in gap, which crosses up Alec Ingold. Ingold is late to feel Devin Lloyd firing from depth with the gap exchange and allows a run through that influences Tua's throw. Two 50+ scoring plays off the board due to the little things.
