@Whiteboardpoets @BenDover3k That “$125 million profit” is from a variety article which leaves out marketing costs in its math. Sooperman lost about $40mil theatrically. Probably recouped losses in other sales but theatrically, it lost money.

'We're cooler, darker, edgier' DC literally has titles like DC Black, Metal, and Absolute - BECAUSE its not meant to be dark and edgier. Its colorful and goofy in most placed. Their lead hero is a colorful boyscout from a small town in Kansas. This is just so wrong.

Some actors and fans are drawn to grounded, character driven stories with real weight. That's why James Gunn's vision isn't for everyone. Many of us simply prefer a more mature, serious take on DC and that's where DC is at its best. Love him or hate him, Zack Snyder gave DC a unique identity. @InfiniteGrunt Isn’t there a whole Unholy Crusade with DS leading the Night Sentinels into Hell? That should at least be an era before it all gets wrecked by the betrayer. Then DS would be alone in Hell again to fight the Titan of Immeasurable Power. The coffin comes afterwards.

I know “technically” we know what happens next because of DOOM 2016’s Codex, but I REALLY want to see this storyline properly concluded and tied into 2016. Another full game + DLC ending with The Slayer being trapped within the sarcophagus feels like the natural next step.

It would have still gotten through to him because another innocent HUMAN’s life is at stake. Clark’s investigative journalism revealed although he’s being judge/jury/executioner for scum, he still saves innocent people. “Martha” effectively throws the 3rd party into the fray.

Because they realized he saved a squirrel instead of these people. The news report got complacent and jumped to conclusions about no casualties. -Missing persons cases won’t come in until a day or two. -Red smears wouldn’t be found until a week later by the cleanup crew.
