@slooterman Birth plans not turning out is the first reminder that creating and raising a whole separate person is wholly unpredictable. There will be many more moments like this, some result in positive and others in negative. I'm glad you are both mostly fine.

FWIW my birth plan turned out to be totally worthless because I ended up needing an emergency c-section earlier than anything expected or planned for. Birth is messy and dangerous and it’s not possible to control everything.
