『初代ゴジラ造形中』1954年 写真に写っているのは、初代ゴジラの造形主幹・利光貞三氏と製作途中のゴジラの上半身です。 この造形物は、水面への浮上シーンなどに使用されたものと推測されます。（隅田川など） 本編でメインに使用された「二号スーツ」とは背びれの形状が異なるため、独立した新規造形物との見方が強いですが、一方で浮上シーンには「重すぎて歩行不能だった一号スーツを切断して上半身を使用した」という説も以前から存在します。 70年近くを経た今もなお、当時の制作背景には謎が多く残されています。 もし当時の資料や詳細な経緯をご存じの方がいらっしゃいましたら、ぜひご教授いただけますと幸いです。

West German EWR VJ 101 prototype VTOL fighter makes a vertical takeoff and landing during a 1963 demonstration

The German Dornier Do 31 was the world's only jet-powered VTOL transport. Immensely complex, it was built with 2 Rolls-Royce Pegasus vectored engines + 8 Rolls-Royce RB162 lift engines. First flew in 1967, wowed at 1969 Paris Air Show, canceled in 1970 because it was TOO cool.😎

The B-52 is not only big, old, mean-looking and smoky, it can also perform this crab landing party trick. The landing gear can be rotated to compensate for severe crosswinds, ensuring proper alignment with the aircraft's direction of travel upon touchdown. Pilots can control this adjustment using a cockpit dial, which allows the gear to pivot up to 20 degrees. 📹Fresh_man82
