an old friend of mine in south africa who ran a small but promising startup... he invited me, investors and industry peers to a casual meet and greet at his apartment. everyone laughed, shared drinks and played it cool
but the invisible guests were there, the ones silently mapping weaknesses: who over promised , who fumbled their words, who couldn’t handle pressure... one investor noticed my friend brag about his projections without having the numbers ready. no one said a word, the room kept smiling
my friend left thinking he had impressed everyone, two weeks later, he told me the investor quietly withdrew interest.
the lesson here is; the invisible guest sees what you don’t, the social masks we wear are only as effective as the eyes that don’t see through them. in every room, someone is quietly scoring you.

This afternoon in Yenagoa, I received the Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Company, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, who is in Bayelsa State to establish a manufacturing plant.
I am particularly touched by his call for partnership in establishing a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion station in our dear state.
Our administration in the past five years has continued to build infrastructure to attract investors including the ongoing gas turbines project to ensure a steady supply of electricity.
It is great to cheer that Bayelsa remains one of the safest states in the country following our huge investments in technology to boost security. The implication of this is that the investment of Innoson is safe in Bayelsa.
On behalf of the Government of Assured Prosperity and the good people of Bayelsa State, I do appreciate our industrialist, Chief Chukwuma, for this strategic business visit to the “Glory of all Lands.”

@UgwunnaEjikem If you don't work in a hospital, you wouldn't know what a man whose wife is in Labour goes through,they send you on an errand countless times, you're running here and there just trying to make sure everything is alright with ur wife and baby, nothing makes sense to the Man

Back to this cos I just remembered how a man brought fuel & sat in front of labour ward UUTH, threatened to burn us down if anything happens to his wife.
Not every husband is nonchalant during preg/labour, some worry their heads off, asking for acknowledgment isn’t “comparing”.
