Ground will be broken next week for the new downtown arena. @okcthunder The old Myriad/Cox Center has now been completely removed and the new facility will be open in time for the 2028/29 NBA season. The renderings shown have been slightly updated to reflect the finished product.

The new clubhouse at Lake Hefner Golf opens today, 3/9. The 2nd level bar and restaurant will open before the end of the month. A 2nd phase will add a cart barn and event space at which time the existing clubhouse will be demolished.

Popular Millennium Lounge at 4709 N Western to expand to the old Mantel space at 201 E. Sheridan in @_Bricktown. Will feature large outdoor patio and live music.

The newly renovated Donnay Building at the Classen Circle complex has secured its first new tenant. 84 Hospitality Group (Empire Slice, Burger Punk, Goro, Elisabetta) is planning to open a cocktail bar and pizzeria called Coco’s Cocktail Club. To be located on the second level below the restored martini glass sign, facing Edna’s near the new Classen Grill. The 2-level former Hi-Lo space to the south is still for lease. The entire building has been transformed after decades of neglect.

Oklahoma's longest-running theatre company, Jewel Box Theatre, is set to open in a new home after its facility at the old First Christian Church was demolished. The new theater will be at NW 16th & Penn just west of the @plazadistrict. They hope to open later this year.

Work has started at the Legacy at Covell at I-35 and Covell in Edmond. Plans show Whole Foods Market, Shake Shack, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Chipotle, Texas Roadhouse, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Dick's, Petsmart, Pei Wei, First Watch, and more.

The new and expanded OKC Animal Shelter is well under construction at SE 29th and Bryant. The $42 million project is part of MAPS 4 and is being built directly adjacent to the existing facility. The new complex will be greatly expanded with a large, welcoming adoption center.

Work has started on a new, 175,000 square foot Walmart Supercenter at the northeast corner of Rockwell and the Kilpatrick Turnpike. It will be the first ‘store of the future’ concept for the OKC area and will feature a brighter, more colorful interior and more features.

The old Myriad/Cox Center continues. They expect to have the site cleared by the end of March so that construction can begin on the new $1.2 billion arena (yes, that's the new budget) so it can be ready for the 2028/2029 Thunder season.

New renderings of the $450 million renovation and upgrade to the west side of the facility which the Board of Regents recently approved. To begin following the 2027 season and be completed by the start of the 2029 season. @OU_Football @UofOklahoma . .

Oklahoma's first @shakeshack is now open at OAK, NW Expressway and Penn. Also open is the seasonal ice rink right in the middle of the complex. Shake Shack is open 10 AM to 11 PM daily, midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Empire Slice Shop is planning a location at NW 164th & May. Waldo's Chicken & Beer and Taziki's Mediterranean are nearing completion in the same Rose Creek Center.

Today, the former Red Carpet Carwash, on the southeast corner of NW Ex & Penn, is being fully demolished. The developers of OAK have filed plans for a large restaurant on that site, although they are not ready to reveal who that will be. Stay tuned!
