@Teacherman1986 Can you show some of your players that are making these absolutes for context? In fact I don’t know if I have ever seen video of any of your players being matched up to this thing you claim to be able to create..

In reflection of #BTG2018 I have so many thoughts it's hard to put it all in a few posts. I'll be writing/video a review in the next few weeks. It was truly an amazing turnout. I could not believe how many MLB teams & decision makers came out. Humbling. The speakers were amazing

I don’t travel light. 100 pounds worth of textbooks for tonight’s presentation.

Player C had a large amount of inward turn (37 degrees). Thus, it’s common the upper body will start to work first because it has farther to go to turn the bat around the body. This is a common pattern of what we see w players w 27 degrees or more of inward turn. @KMOTION3D

Last night I posted 3 nearly identical graphs that are actually very different. We had some great insight to the graphs. These are the nuances we study in our coaches workshops and here are the answers: @KMOTION3D

@elite_baseball @KMOTION3D Would the upper body graphs of this swing show the pitch location being different as the bend and side bend numbers also being different to the previous swings?

Player A’s big take away was that he was in sequence the previous 4 swings before this one. This one: simply a pitch away that he disconnected early on. @KMOTION3D

@elite_baseball The vertical heel strike and first move lines for a neutral mover seem to be fairly close together also so could get better there to improve hip /torso separation

@elite_baseball This hitter would benefit from not being as closed at heel strike as his chest peak is delayed behind upper arm.

Although the Cubs are the sole organization in which I work w players during the season, I’m about to leave for trips through the Grapefruit League and the Cactus League working w several orgs in coaches education. The graphs below are part of what we’ll learn to dissect. THREAD

@elite_baseball suit their flexibility and crest tension in the core to be able to better transfer energy to the chain. The deceleration of the hips is delayed also meaning other higher up body parts aren’t getting to firing as well going into contact.

@elite_baseball This hyper mobile athlete would benefit from a big loading move to try and create a separation situation that would better

@elite_baseball Also looking at the heel strike line you can see the blue arm line firing almost immediately with that position which further indicates this process in the swing being driven by an arms first time acceleration

@elite_baseball The two vertical black lines show his hands are moving pretty close together with heel strike saying that he isn’t separating well. This can also show up at the contact end of the graph as his hip deceleration is then late not allowing max transfer up the chain into contact.
