A Ghanaian woman has threatened to take her own life after becoming homeless and stranded on the streets of Iraq, where she had travelled in search of employment and a better life. The woman, who is also a mother, claims she was deceived by an agent who promised her a genuine work visa and free accommodation. According to her, upon arriving in Iraq, her passport and other personal belongings were seized, leaving her stranded and without support. She is now appealing to the Government of Ghana and relevant authorities to intervene and facilitate her safe return home.
