Has anyone had the flu that is going around? Apparently it’s absolutely horrendous and people are being hospitalised over it.

I absolutely loved writing stand up for Brian Gittins. We actually filmed about 20 minutes but cut it down to the bare essentials 😂

@OKR1995 @MrTs_NQTs @DeputyGrocott And I was assuming primary school teachers would avoid the behaviour problems seen at secondary. How things have changed since I was at school. Oh, and another Twitter comment which makes me want to reconsider my plans to do a PGCE in primary teaching.

Any other teachers struggling with the complete lack of respect children have for adults these days? How do you teach respect? I can’t get over the way some children talk to me… and in I’m Year 2!! Any advice would be helpful thank you 🙏🏼 @MrTs_NQTs @DeputyGrocott #teacher

@iainwhitecreat1 Completely agree. So as a teacher who conducts themself in a highly respectful manner to all (I promise!), it’s very hard to find a solution.

Teach respect? You don’t teach it - you earn it by your actions and words

@DeputyGrocott PPA at home. Subject leadership time. No formal planning required. Leave of absence granted for family events. Feeling like management trust me 100%- no breathing down my neck, no micromanagement! Displays are purposeful, nothing unnecessary.

@jengibbons76 @MrTs_NQTs The honest answer is- I don’t really know! We’ve always just gone off teacher judgement. Yes I suppose we could. It’s hard if there’s only one adult however, to try and film and support them at the same time! Thank you 😊
