Nigerians are behaving like they have forgotten the corruption carnival that happened under Goodluck Jonathan. The Jonathan administration was filled with scandal after scandal while insecurity destroyed lives across the country. Look at some of the major names Nigerians can never forget: Diezani Alison Madueke the face of oil sector corruption allegations under Jonathan. Luxury properties, private jets, bribery allegations, missing oil money, international investigations, and ongoing UK corruption trial. Sambo Dasuki linked to the multi billion naira arms scandal while Boko Haram terrorists were attacking Northern communities and soldiers complained about poor equipment. Stella Oduah remembered for the infamous armored BMW scandal and reckless spending controversy. Abdulrasheed Maina pension fraud scandal that embarrassed Nigeria globally. Adoke Bello repeatedly linked with controversies around the Malabu oil deal scandal. Mohammed Abacha and several politically connected figures resurfaced around oil and financial scandals during that era. Patience Jonathan constantly surrounded by financial controversy, frozen accounts, and suspicious cash investigations. The NNPC scandal under Jonathan became international embarrassment after allegations that billions of dollars in oil revenue were not properly remitted. Even Sanusi Lamido Sanusi raised alarm publicly. Under Good Luck Ebele Jonathan era Nigerians watched: 1. fuel subsidy scandals 2. oil theft scandals 3. pension fraud scandals 4. missing billions 5. security money scandals 6. and contract-sharing politics everywhere. Boko Haram was taking over territories in the North while politicians around Jonathan’s government were allegedly busy sharing money and fighting over contracts. This was the same government where Nigerians kept hearing: “missing billions,” “unaccounted oil revenue,” “security funds diverted,” and “corruption allegations” almost every month. Jonathan’s government became so damaged by corruption perception that even many PDP supporters lost confidence before 2015. Now suddenly some politicians want Nigerians to forget everything because people are angry with APC?, No! we can't forget. Nigerians must stop using present suffering to whitewash past failure. Recycling Jonathan in 2027 only helps divide opposition votes and reopen the same old PDP political structure Nigerians already rejected before. The country needs a fresh political direction, not another return to the era of corruption scandals, weak leadership, and elite political bargaining. APC survived last election with divide the opposition, confuse voters, and recycle old politicians Nigerians already rejected before. The Jonathan comeback project is not about rescuing Nigeria. It is about elite political arrangements and weakening any strong united opposition movement ahead of 2027. Nigerians must stop allowing old failed politicians to emotionally manipulate them with nostalgia. @PeterObi @KwankwasoRM #OK_Alliance #NigeriawillbeOK

My final engagement in South Africa was yesterday in Johannesburg with my interaction with Nigerians in the diaspora. The discussions were frank, emotional, and deeply reflective of the realities confronting our people both at home and abroad. The conversation was interrupted several times by passionate questions bordering on diplomacy, the treatment of Nigerians in foreign countries, the political situation back home, and the growing desire of many young Nigerians abroad to return home and contribute meaningfully to nation-building, if only the environment becomes conducive. I also reminded our people that the respect any citizen receives abroad is often tied to how respected their nation is at home. A country that works, protects its institutions, upholds justice, and cares for its people naturally commands global respect. This is why leadership and governance must remain people-oriented, accountable, and rooted in competence and integrity. While acknowledging the frustrations and pains many expressed, I emphasized the need for all of us to continue to conduct ourselves within the ambit of the law, irrespective of the provocation or difficulties we face. Nation-building demands discipline, civic responsibility, and the willingness to pursue change through constructive engagement. The interaction further reinforced my belief that Nigerians across the world remain hopeful about the future of our nation despite the present challenges. Our task as leaders is to inspire that hope with sincerity, measurable action, and a commitment to building a secure, productive, and inclusive Nigeria. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

A message sent to me Good morning, my man Ruffy On 🔥. I believe you will help interrogate this: APC Presidential Primaries Result: Edo State Governor, who has been promising President Tinubu over *5 million votes in the 2027 election, could only give him a paltry *121,098 votes* in the state primary. So where would the Edo governor get the remaining *4.8 million (*4,878,902*) from in 2027? Nigerians should ask questions.
