@jam_etc_art @bazildesigns Yeah, honestly, I agree. Not to mention the cost of a subscription for LLMs keeps going up and up.

@OK_ULTRA_ @bazildesigns I don't really think even the edge cases are worth it at this point, because then it becomes a slippery slope and eventually you're vibecoding entire slop games that you can't go back and debug or change because you didn't actually make them, worse if you're part of a pipeline

That awkward moment when all the AI bros are celebrating, saying 3d is getting easier, when the example shows someone writing a whole sentence, waiting for it to load, to do something that's a single hotkey (Ctrl L) 🙄

Claude now connects to the tools creative professionals already use. With the new Blender connector, you can debug a scene, build new tools, or batch-apply changes across every object, directly from Claude.

@bazildesigns Now you can spend $200/month to automate what the F3 key already did! Innovative!

@SahilPanhotra @claudeai Man, you have to not be working to have this opinion. Every fucking designer I know is still insanely busy lmao.

@0xtreysync @claudeai Finally someone with actual blender experience to shut down the doom and gloom. Seems like it can be helpful and empowering for the artists.

As someone that does 3D art quite a bit, I think this is a great tool. There’s a TON of overhead involved with 3D art that we tend to script away anyways. Mass material adjustments, attribute changes, and topology is a pain.
Art still requires good taste and human touch to be appreciated. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves and pretend 3d art is going away.

@FrankRuda546776 @internetarchiva That's actually fucking crazy haha

Elden Ring feels like an ancient legend of mythical proportions.
Skeptical about the movie's ability will recreate this feeling.
I don't see any particular attention to lighting & atmosphere here. It's quite plain.

1. It's filmed with a phone!
> I'm talking about lighting & atmosphere. You can film a flat scene with an IMAX camera, and... it will still look flat.
2. It's the angle!
> Angle or not, there is no lighting sculpting the scene. It's just filmed as is.
3. Wait for post-production!
> No, post production cannot magically change lighting convincingly. It will look cheap (The Hobbit vs LOTR, Furiosia vs Fury Road).
English

To all the idiots telling me you can relight in post: no you can't.
Cinematography is not some kind of sauce you can dump on top of flat footage. Lighting cannot be improvised after shooting.
Either you re-render completely, or you regenerate the frames with AI, but the proper way is to layer & sculpt lighting on set.
