S5 and S6 pupils recently took part in their first UKMT Senior Mathematics Challenge, tackling challenge questions. Pupils across the UK took part in this challenge with several achieving awards!

In addition, S5 & S6 pupils represented the school at the UKMT Senior Mathematics Team Challenge held at Strathclyde University, where they competed against a variety of schools across Scotland by working collaboratively to tackle three demanding rounds!

As part of #MathsWeekScotland, S2 pupils participated in a workshop on Cryptography from @UniStrathclyde!

On Tuesday night we had a great turn out for our 'Support Your Pupil at Home' information evening. Maths, English and Support for Learning talked about what our S1 pupils can expect and ways to support them. Thank you to everyone who came along and made the night a success.

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER! Thank you to everyone for your hard work this academic year & we wish all our young people, staff and families a relaxing & safe summer holiday!

The school also celebrated the retirement of Mrs Muir, Mrs McNeish, Ms Steinert & Mrs Zambonini! After years of service & dedication to OLHS, they will be greatly missed by all. We would also like to thank to staff members who joined or are moving on to new posts after the summer

Today, we had our end of term mass to celebrate all the pupils & staffs hard work throughout this school term. Thank you to Father Morris for conducting, our servers & S6 speakers and to the Music department for providing the music during the mass.

We also hosted our first OLHS Netball Champions League tournament yesterday where Miss McQuade & Miss Jack’s Dragons won against Miss Welsh’s Panthers in the final! Congratulations to the 3 MVPs Tooni, Arwyn and Mrs Anderson. Photos below 📸

Yesterday, pupils & staff took part in the annual OLHS Champions League tournament. Barcelona, coached by Mr McGurk (boo!) managed to see off the rest of the competition by beating Mr Lafferty's Manchester City in a dramatic penalty shootout Photos below 📸
