Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to St Bernadette as she collected firewood at a grotto in the town of Lourdes. Mary appeared to Bernadette giving her various tasks such as washing in a spring. Even today the spring is said to have healing properties.

On Friday 30th September, we welcomed the new school year at St George’s Cathedral, where Archbishop John Wilson celebrated Mass for all the children, families, governors and staff of Southwark Diocese.

It was wonderful to visit Our Lady Queen of Heaven Primary School @OLQH_SW19 today ❤️ Reception beautifully sang the national anthem - with actions 🇬🇧🙌 And I took great questions about my work as an MP and how to make a difference in our community👏

Thank to Fleur Anderson @PutneyFleur for finding time to visit OLQH today. Your assembly was an inspiration to all our children.

World Book Day was a great success at OLQH. It was particularly special this year as we were able to send a group of children to the Signature Care Home to read to the residents- the first time since February 2020!

Today reception learnt about the Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the Tiger.
