Road is hell to drive with poor quality road laying in places where the median work is completed. Also, there are no lane markings, police or signals even in U turns…service roads are in shambles

Chennai International Airport is diverting traffic near Terminal 4 (T4) for 40 days (March 16 to April 24, 2026) to erect trusses for Phase II T2 expansion, costing ₹2.48 crore. The T4 entry toll gate is closed; Tambaram vehicles use GST service road via T2 gate. Marshals manage a temporary junction; some ramps close, IndiGo T1-T4 buggy suspended. T1/T2 access unaffected; project boosts capacity to 35 million passengers annually over 86,135 sq m.

#OMR CMRL has awarded a ₹113.80 crore contract to build grade separators at Perungudi and SRP Tools junctions on OMR, including service roads, drainage, and electrical works. The 18‑month project will ease congestion by enabling dedicated right‑turn ramps— from MGR Main Road to Sholinganallur at Perungudi and from OMR to Velachery–Taramani Link Road at SRP Tools.
