The @_AfricanUnion convened young leaders from across the continent in Nairobi 🇰🇪 (20–21 November 2025) for a Policy Dialogue on #Youth, #Reparations, and #TransitionalJustice in Africa. During the dialogue, participants examined the history of conflict and reparations on the continent, shared their lived experiences, and collaboratively identified key priorities for a youth-driven continental reparations agenda. #TJ

Day 2 of the AY4TJ Youth Engagement focused on building skills for a youth-driven reparations agenda. Sessions covered: • Youth voice in AU policy spaces • Reparations, trauma & colonial legacies • Youth leadership in peacebuilding • Advocacy & resource mobilization #AY4TJ

Exciting updates We conducted an impact study of our project with the youths and TAC of West Coast, assessing progress and future steps To recognize their dedication, we awarded certificates to both the Governor and the amazing youths of West Coast!

We were also certified for the amazing work done in the past two years. Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming activities

Having positively impacted the lives of young people through the “empowering of Gambian youths..”project by @theICTJ and @UNPeacebuilding, we participated in a three-day retreat where partners of the project discussed the challenges, successes of the project, and the way forward

The @theICTJ in collaboration with ONOV and the rest of the partner organization will hold a National Youth dialogue, which will among other things, serve as a platform for intergenerational dialogue, and overcome challenges in youth political participation in the Gambia.

We feel honored to have attended the 2024 Conference on the Status of TRRC Recommendations in The Gambia. With 16 recommendations successfully implemented and progress ongoing on others, this marks a significant step toward justice, reconciliation, and accountability.
