Lt. Howard, Tpr. Haas and K-9 Chance had the opportunity to talk to students at Linden Elementary in Hamilton today. We discussed traffic safety and answered questions about careers in law enforcement. The students enjoyed meeting K-9 Chance and we really liked meeting them.

Ohio saw 6,149 traffic deaths from 2021–2025. Most happened at night and on weekends. 2025 brought a 3.7% drop — let’s keep driving that number down in 2026.

Happy Birthday, Ohio! Ohio became the 17th state to join the Union on March 1, 1803.

From 2021–2025, Ohio recorded 62 "move over" related crashes involving Patrol vehicles. These incidents resulted in two fatalities and left 16 troopers and 27 civilians injured. 🚔🚨 Slow down and move over to save lives.

When you see flashing emergency lights on the roadside, slow down and move over whenever it’s safe to do so. 🚔🚨 From 2021–2025, Ohio troopers issued more than 17,000 citations for violations of the Move Over/Slow Down law.

Earlier today, Tpr. Ellis and Tpr. Miller, Georgetown Post, met with FCCLA students at @FP_Schools. We were able to discuss safe driving and the impacts of driving impaired with the students. Thank you for having us. We enjoyed working with our safety partners. #DriveToLive

Yesterday, Cassidy Collins was presented with a certificate of recognition for his ability to remain calm and for his courageous actions on Nov. 19 on I-75 in Warren County. His actions prevented a catastrophic outcome, saving his father's life and the lives of fellow motorists.

This weekend, the Patrol is partnering with the 6 State Trooper Project for an enforcement blitz on I-75. Troopers will be looking for violations including safety belts and speed. Drive safely!
