Tpr. Heidel recently participated in the Cincy Cool City Cars Club, benefiting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. We had the opportunity to discuss traffic safety, including the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, as well as the importance of wearing a safety belt.

We recently conducted regional testing at @LakelandCommCol. This regional test offered potential candidates a convenient, one-stop setting to complete their physical assessments and written tests locally as they progress in the next phase of their careers. #JOINOSHP

This year’s Best Looking Cruiser contest is dedicated to Greg Gebolys, whose passion helped bring the Veterans Freedom Flag Monument to life. Greg passed before the contest began, but his legacy of honoring veterans lives on through the monument and the stories he shared.

Rural areas present their own unique set of driving challenges. Things like blind curves, narrow roads and minimal lighting are common on country roads. Stay vigilant and practice heightened caution when driving in rural environments.

20 ago in 2006, 8 officers left the Training Academy and headed to Memphis, TN for specialized instruction, laying the groundwork for what would become the Patrol’s Motor Unit. Today, troopers returned to the OSHP Training Academy to celebrate the Motor Unit’s 20th Anniversary.

Earlier today, the Patrol entered a new partnership that offers qualifying troopers and cadets a streamlined pathway to earning a college degree with Bowling Green State University (BGSU). State Rep. Ghanbari facilitated the partnership and attended the signing.
