Should be an exciting weekend for local college baseball fans with NCAA announcing regionals hosts (Sunday) and 64-team field Monday.
@d1baseball has Oregon State and UO on the road as 2 seeds. @BaseballAmerica has UO hosting as a 16 seed, with OSU and Washington State in Eugene

Beavers will find out tonight at approximately 1730 if they’re hosting. They paid for bleachers to be installed over a 3 day weekend, and they can pay for them to be taken down on the same weekend too.

In relation to today’s college football. If football started with a major foundation makeover and school presidents were going to build 4 conferences with 60 teams, some of the P4 schools would get left out, like WSU and OSU
There would be mostly holdovers, but also some leftovers

50% +/- is probably an agreement that both parties aren’t happy with. Probably means a fair deal. Nobody likes Discovery and legal bill clock keeps on ticking. ⏰😎

Wrap it all up with a nice little bow!🎁 Past history tells us that these things usually settle for around $.55 cents on the dollar or based on a $150m suit, a total of $82.5m to MWC. Be interesting to see where this one comes out.🤔

Reminder that the MWC is receiving approximately $7.5MM from entry fees for teams entering the conference. So to make good on the $61MM in initial bonuses they must pay the legacy team, so they probably need about $54MM from the PAC12. 7 x $8MM = $54MM 🤔

All of the incoming P12 schools will see a significant increase in revenue this season.
We could see many of these schools boost their budgets by 10-20m in the near future.

Sounds like the P12/MWC settlement is significantly below $65 million.
A portion of that has already been paid as well if you consider the MWC has withheld some payouts.
Really, really tough to see how schools like UNLV and AFA can stay in the MWC long term.

@TonyOnly_ @TBM_JY Poaching fees are not paying out at .55 cents. Likely .15 cents at most as they were considered illegal by most legal experts and could have made the MWC liable for 3x damages. So settling also absolves MWC of their potential poaching liabilities. 3 x 50m means MWC could owe 150m

If my source is right, this could be the terms of the settlement between Pac-12 and Mountain West. 53 million total. 13 million would be paid upfront in Year 1 and remaining 40 million in Years 2-5. 10.6m total per team to settle all exit and poaching fees. @TBM_JY clowned again!
