After listening to that UMG call, I’m like 70% Drake ain’t re-signing. They not broke, but the money clearly tighter. Cash flow dropped, margins got squeezed and the whole call was discipline, efficiency, buybacks and getting better returns on every dollar. Bolloré already got the biggest position and basically blocked Ackman, while UMG bought back some of his shares. This don’t sound like a company getting ready to hand Drake another historic traditional advance.

@OVODocket @grandwizardcn They’re borrowing the standard bag of dirty tricks that literal espionage actors use in far more serious scenarios all to push bullshit narratives against industry competition. Embarrassingly desperate but also fucking crazy to witness.

For nearly three months, Roc Nation affiliate Charlamagne accused Drake of paying his fans to push narratives online and insinuated that Stake and Drake were engaged in criminal conduct. On July 11, Charlamagne said the source for his claims was an article from “reputable site” InverseWire.com. Inverse Wire was later exposed as an AI generated website that appeared to have been created primarily to post negative articles about Drake. The Inverse Wire website is now disabled.

You can expect Roc Nation affiliate Charlamagne to deflect by saying he simply came across the Inverse Wire website, but that’s not the case. The public knew nothing of this AI-generated site until Charlamagne brought it to light. It had no significant digital presence; the first public reference to Inverse Wire appeared on his Brilliant Idiots YouTube channel. Over the past three months, Charlamagne made numerous references to Inverse Wire on his podcast but did not explicitly name the site until his July 11 interview with media personality DJ Akademiks. This suggests Charlamagne is connected to the people who created the AI website, which was primarily used to publish negative articles about Drake. It appears he was tasked with serving as the mouthpiece to give the site credibility.

@OVODocket You can also tell Charla was given this website to cite because why not just quote a website everyone knows? Why go to the one with the most inflated version of the Drake/Stake story and call it "reputable"?

Isn't it strange that Roc Nation affiliate Charlamagne was citing a fake AI website designed to create bad optics for Drake? 👀 And after it was exposed, almost no major Hip Hop media covered it... Now when you go to the URL it reroutes??? They're covering their tracks 🚨🧵

Not a single major media outlet covered this story. Had this been the other way around, and Drake or someone affiliated with him highlighted an AI website created to smear his peers, it would have been covered worldwide.

You learn to ignore the nonsense spewed on this app once you realize that a lot of these people are mentally ill. Those bozo twins expect Drake to cut off a friend he’s had for years because of Kendrick Lamar? Mind you Kendrick associates with people who have done horrible things to women and children.

As we’ve stated before, many of the talking points in the aftermath of the 2024 “rap battle” didn’t originate out of thin air. We’ve seen screenshots of music label executives in group chats with X accounts that post ridiculous & false narratives about Drake, daily.
The OVO Docket@OVODocket

@kev2alks @OVOmembers @drizzyys It’s the executives who were seeding many of these narratives online. You have bozos like Tim Hinshaw, formerly at Amazon Music and the organizer of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Pop Out’ show, posting things like this. His entire feed reads like a stan account.

Our belief is this: The lawsuits filed in November and December 2025 accusing Drake of botting were strategically timed because those involved believed he would drop ICEMAN early this year. The goal was to undermine his streaming dominance and first-week sales. Major media outlets reported on the suits, but the story quickly fizzled out. Drake announced his official release date of May 15, 2026. This website was created on May 13, 2026 with an article about the bogus Stake lawsuit. Charlamagne then began discussing the lawsuits, insinuating criminal activity and accusing Drake of paying fans to push narratives. The purpose of launching this AI-generated website was to redirect attention back to the lawsuits and discredit any records Drake broke with his album.

@OVODocket It’s funny because he thought it was a total gotcha. That website isn’t on anyone’s radar. It doesn’t have a social media presence, and it SCREAMS AI slop. I mean the subscription button says “Sign me up for mind-altering takes” 🤣🤣🤣 He needs to give himself Donkey of the Day.

🚨Charlamagne claimed a reputable news site backed his Drake & Stake information, but that source now looks highly questionable. The site went silent for over three weeks, then suddenly resumed posting after Akademiks accusations that it was AI-generated caught fire.

@cozycrodie 🎯 His biggest display of poor self-awareness was when talked about how his daughter had to hear about the allegations from her schoolmates. What about Drake’s son? What about what Drake’s son had to hear from his schoolmates when you sanctioned a performance defaming his father?

@d_suelo @playpizzyy Correct. Not just any diss song. A diss song that falsely labels Drake a pedophile and registered sex offender in the year where Drake was scheduled to complete his contract renegotiations with UMG Recordings.

A few months ago, Jay-Z scoffed at the idea that his choice of Kendrick Lamar for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show was personal. He claimed he simply picked the artist who had the “hottest year.” At the time of his selection, Kendrick Lamar had no album out, only four Drake diss tracks, including the defamatory “Not Like Us,” which he performed during the show. Today, photos show Jay-Z grinning ear-to-ear alongside Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. Tiffith, Kendrick Lamar’s former label head, runs Top Dawg Entertainment, which has a long-standing joint partnership and distribution deal with Interscope Records (under UMG). Drake’s lawsuit alleges UMG leveraged its personal relationships and provided financial benefits to Roc Nation for Kendrick Lamar’s performance.
