@PDean2017 The big problem there is that only one of those 5 is a right-handed bat and Moniak, Johnston, & McCarthy have pretty much been platoon guys. So when the Rockies face a lefty those 5 spots turn into 2.

@JamesFlowerIII The hang up there is that I’m not sure the Yankees need another lefty OF between Bellinger, Grisham, & Spencer Jones. But Wallner’s pop would play well in Yankee Stadium for sure

@OakTreeStatus Anthony Volpe for Matt Wallner? Two guys who have been successful in the past having bad years and who need a change of scenary. Wallner could rake at Yankee stadium and Twins are last in SS Defense.

Anthony Volpe needs a change of scenery. Yankees fans hate him, & George Lombard, Jr is coming in AAA.
But Volpe is still only 25, was a good prospect (albeit overrated like all Yankees farm guys), and has essentially been the same player as… Ezequiel Tovar

The Munetaka Murakami K% watch is, as expected, heading up. The key now is if he can adjust to get it back down under 35%. It's really, *really* hard to be a successful hitter north of that mark for very long.

All the smart people have already commented on this so here's my GM take,
I feel like it's also a really good example on why it's important to take flyers. An intriguing prospect with a fundamental flaw had it addressed, and now the Reds reap the benefits.
