Last week, I watched a former student cross the graduation stage - and I was overwhelmed with pride and gratitude. Seeing them reach that milestone reminded me why this work matters. Their courage, their growth, their journey…it all came rushing back. So proud. So thankful.

The white cane is a symbol of blindness AND independence. There are different long cane techniques to help a traveler negotiate their environment gracefully, safely, and independently depending on the demands of their terrain.
