The Design System era is dead. Top-down design is forever broken. Having a consistent aesthetic may have been nice in the past, but today there are too many players and too many creative possibilities to dictate a single aesthetic for the entire world. The future belongs to those who embrace the broad multitude of creative expression rather than those attempting to tame it.

100% Figma. Any guesses on how I made it?

1. Figma recalculates the value of the top layer. When you change a value in the input field, the layer applies that value – but its inner layers have their own values, which then triggers a size recalculation. If you were to manually adjust the element’s width, this wouldn’t happen, since the size is constantly recalculated in real time. 2. Sometimes sizing bugs occur because of misaligned positions of parent layers. If the main frame itself is offset, the internal layer dimensions might be calculated based on a different grid. To avoid such bugs and improve optimization, I recommend building through a mask layer instead of using Union.

Figma experts, can you tell me what causes the shape to not take the size I tell it to take? Literally had to type 24 three times for each axis.
