The entire rumored plot of Starfighter leads directly to Rey. The rumor is that Flynn Grey is Amy Adams' character's son and he is highly force sensitive, so she hires Gosling's character to safely transport him somewhere where he'd be safe. That place ends up being Rey's new Jedi Academy where he ends up one of her first students. The Rey movie is then set 10 years later. If true, the "Disney is erasing the Sequels" crowd are going to have a bad day.
