Minor annoyance but it seems there's been an update to #Twitter DMs and you can no longer report spam message requests themselves from within the conversation. Now you have to go to their profile and report the account as spam which feels like it removes some of the context.

I put a prompt injection into my LinkedIn bio and recruiters are messaging me in Old English and calling me Lord.

Great example of why alt text matters, esp in e-mail. My e-mail program blocks remote imgs by default (common privacy measure) so I have to use alt text to understand what they depict. Here I can't leave a @Trustpilot review because the star ratings are imgs with no alt text.

It's been replaced with Driessen's original (along with proper credit!) but the previous AI-generated diagram can be found in the Wayback Machine web.archive.org/web/2026021707…

Crazy thing I just learned about: An "AI-sloppified" version of Vincent Driessen's original diagram explaining Git Flow branching model was used as part of an "Introduction to GitHub" course on Microsoft's website nvie.com/posts/15-years… #AISlop

I am this close to filtering all e-mails from tiscali.it directly to spam. Some of these make it to my inbox, presumably because this is a legitimate e-mail service from an Italian ISP, but literally every single e-mail I've gotten from it has been crypto spam.

That gorgeous hero image isn't doing its job if the text on top of it is invisible. Three tips for keeping text readable over images: 🔗 bit.ly/4kyeeWT #VisualDesign

Got this strange e-mail from thefreshestmeat (dot) com. I'm used to getting #spam at my public contact address but this was sent to an e-mail address that I only use for specific purposes and is not publicly listed. Trying to figure out where they might have gotten it.

Just like we improved traffic after widening the 405, right @flyLAXairport ? Why do reporters just parrot LAX’s propaganda? This project — according to their own EIR — will make traffic worse! Why are you letting it proceed @MayorOfLA? Learn the truth: laxgridlock.com

@UPS Of course, the simple workaround is to use my username instead of my e-mail address, but still. Reminder that domains can end with more than three characters!

Overly strict e-mail validation strikes again @UPS . Trying to view a live map of a shipment out for delivery by providing my UPS My Choice e-mail and it only accepts e-mails ending with 2-3 letters (.com, .org, .us, etc.). The main My Choice login takes my e-mail just fine.
