After much thought back and forth I've decided I'm going to focus on my career and not stream or play wow for the foreseeable future. I want to buy a house by the end of the year and don't want any distractions. I may be back on twitch but if not its been real <3

@TTVtommypwow Nice man, I hardly watch twitch these days but like to come on X every now and then to keep up to date what the freaks at the top are doing. I think streaming is awesome if it's your hobby, helped me so much with my new job and being able to narrate what I'm doing

@OctobersYT Congrats mate I have 2 young kids I don’t take streaming seriously more of a hobby 4 nights a week for a few hours and if it actually does grow so be it but I’ll always stream coz I enjoy it but won’t let it take control of my life

A few days ago my father passed away. It's difficult for me to even find the words for the emptiness it leaves me with, he was my last family member in the state and I was there with him until the end. I will endure, but I don't think I'll ever be the same I love you, Pa

𝐏𝐀𝐘𝐎 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐗𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐎 WoW Classic streamer, @payowow, has seemingly set his sights on member, @xerwo after he responded to Payo's tweet questioning why TurtleWoW’s servers seemed more stable than Blizzard’s. It seems as though Payo took offense to the response, as he felt it not only made him look foolish but also came from someone who plays Retail WoW instead of his preferred Classic version.

TL;DR-my dad's health is really bad and I have to take time off to deal with it As a lot of you guys know, my dad's been going through a lot of medical turmoil in the last few months. Originally, he went to the hospital for pneumonia then upon leaving had a test that showed acute liver failure that turned out to be pancreatic cancer. Not a good day. After the diagnosis, we took him to an oncologist who recommended chemotherapy which we did. The first week was fine but the day of the second treatment, by the end of it he was so fucked up and had so much difficulty breathing that he didn't sleep more than an hour at a time. It was so severe I ended up sleeping on the floor next to his bed that night in case something went even more wrong Next day comes, we take him to the Dr and of course they recommend him to go to the hospital because his blood pressure was some insanely low number like 74/53 or something. That was about 5 days ago, and that's basically where we're still at now. There have been marginal improvements but in a general sense, things are not looking great, although I remain hopeful regardless. Because of the severity, this will require my full attention until it is resolved one way or another, which means streams will be on hiatus until that time comes. Rest assured, there's nothing I'd rather do more than go live and continue on like I always do but my obligation to my father must take priority. I don't have a timeframe or an expectation because of how uncertain things are right now, but I'll update you all when I know more myself. I know a lot of you guys have already reached out and just know that both I and my dad appreciate the kind words, thank you.

Challenges come to us often, and each time we are prepared to face them." The Turtle WoW team appears to be a widespread operation, with their servers suspected to be in the UK (potentially with mirrors in Kazakhstan) and team members located across European countries such as Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, and the Netherlands, which may pose challenges for Blizzard's lawsuit. However, the lawsuit specifically names Turtle WoW's Marketing Lead (known as Defendant Zimmer), who resides in Augusta, Michigan, and whom Blizzard is likely to pursue heavily.

This feels very similar to the Nostalrius situation back in 2016. Most people weren’t playing on this server for “free WoW” or because they didn’t want to play on Blizzard’s servers, they just wanted a Classic+ style experience Blizzard hasn’t provided. It’s rough for those who invested time, but Blizzard has to protect their trademarks or risk losing them. With how popular it got, a takedown was inevitable. Hopefully Blizzard’s own Classic+ vision ends up being what players are looking for.
