@DannerFoundati1 I was riding a KZ-900 at the time, and wasn't that impressed by the HD. I remember really hating the handlebars. It was cool-looking though.

Hey - it seemed like it was going 200mph sitting still; the poor thing was just all hat and no cattle. I was stupid enough to buy one.

@DannerFoundati1 I rode it in 77 or 78. And I didn't own it, it was a test drive. I remember the speedometer was pinned, and I think it went to 150, but it was a long time ago and maybe I'm not remembering right.

I can give you an idea of your actual speed. topspeed.com/harley-davidso… I owned serial #51 which was the first Non-California Spec’d ‘77 HD Cafe Racer built and the one that was used by Cycle World for its Cover Bike and test runs. In other words, it was special prepped by HD to go faster than any others ever made by Willie G. himself. This bike was the worst motorcycle I ever owned, owing to many things but the one things that made it undriveable was no reserve tank, a 2.3 gallon fuel tank and a very thirsty appetite for fuel. If you live somewhere, like I did, with gas stations 50 miles apart - you best know how to push a motorcycle of you drive around town any time at all before after gassing up and before hitting the highway for home. Oh - top speed was very definitely 115mph which of course was faster than most other Harleys but still far slower than any other motorcycles sold…and a far cry from 150+. It did look faster than the devil and went vroom vroom real loud like most Harley’s but ran the quarter in over 12 seconds. It was/is merely a poser.

We should take a minute to celebrate the pearl onion, an unsung hero of the culinary world. These tiny onions stay together as tiny onions in stews, soups, or sauces and give you a nice bite of oniony goodness. You can get them fresh in bags, but then you have to process them: cut the ends off and peel each one. This takes a long time. Or just buy bags of frozen ones that are ready to heat and eat, like I do. So all hail the pearl onion! You should get some.😀

If a dollar is now worth 50 cents, 3 billion in profit may be a record, but it's less than 2 billion was in actual worth. It's the reckless print-and-spend policies that are devaluing the money, not the corporations. Publically traded corporations are owned by the people, who expect a profit.

@scs_real 150+ mph Harley-Davidson Café Racer Highway 10, outside El Paso Tx. The speedometer went up to 150 and I had it pinned against the stop, so no idea of my actual speed. It felt like about 500 or so. hahaha.
