With the arrival of AI, there really is no reason to attend a university. Most of those jobs you'd need college education for will be gone in 3-5 years. Speaking from someone who has two degrees, working in tech as a programmer for 25 years. AI can and will do most white collar jobs. That said, we need to halt all H1B visas, totally unnecessary at this point.

When did we start machine counting? I remember showing up at my polling place in WA State, circa 1993, the little old lady checked my ID against a paper polling book, then issued me a paper ballot. But I had to run my completed ballot through an optical scanner. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now I'm thinking that optical scanner was probably suspect.

Unfortunately, this is true. Barring a BIG Sister Soldier moment, his association with the Iran War will be a stain. A similar association literally cost Hillary Clinton the 2008 nomination. That should've been a significant part of the calculation when weighing the risks of this war. We're beyond weighing the "wisdom" of it. It wasn't wise. It was unwise both politically and as a matter of foreign policy. It not only cost the current president his coalition, but also risks the future coalition of the strongest candidate Republicans had for a potential president. He's now down for the first time in our polling because of the war, and the constant lobbying for it that consumed most of this administration. Maybe that will help put into perspective just how much putting Israel First cost the American Right. That, on top of redistricting post-VRA ruling, asking citizenship status on the next census, reapportionment, control of State Supreme Courts who will rule on those maps, etc. All not only at risk, but likely to have been sacrificed for this war.
