Israel is planning to steal $40 billion gas field in Lebanese waters. Sorry, I meant self-defense themselves into $40 billion. In order to do that, they’re going to destroy 70 villages, including three Christian ones. No one in our government cares. In fact, we’re funding this.
Ahmad Baydoun@weatherwar

Mapped the IDF's newly declared "Forward Defense Zone" in south Lebanon. Its maritime boundary fully absorbs Lebanon's Qana gas field, whose exploration rights were explicitly guaranteed under the 2022 US-brokered maritime border agreement. More maps in this thread 🧵

@persianjewess Inshallah? Your face and hair visible, have you no modesty? And why are you talking? Women are property not free thinking beings. The man who owns you (father or husband) is meant to do all the talking on your behalf.

@AryJeayBackup No it can't. There is a legal blockade in force. China can whine but ultimately short of entering the war on the side of Iran they can't do anything.

@pati_marins64 I’m surprised this account still exists. The assessment it provided of Iran’s purported military capabilities was proven to be a joke by Operation Epic Fury.

It’s striking how fast Ghabałf and Araghchi changed their tone after being summoned by the IRGC, especially after making so many ambiguous and weak statements. Now both are speaking clearly and firmly about Iran’s position. This is an area where the Americans excel. They are masters at using what feels like a smoke grenade, obscuring the real situation, buying valuable time, and sowing confusion among the enemy’s leadership.

@aakankshalovely There are several reasons why the yuan could never become the global currency. This may have partially been about China, but it wasn’t because the yuan was ever a real threat.

China moved into Venezuela and started purchasing Oil in Yuan. US attacked Venezuela and took control of its Oil. China became Iran’s biggest Oil purchaser in Yuan. US attacked Iran. India purchased Russian Oil and was on track to revive RIC friendship. US slapped 50% tariffs on India. US will never allow India to become a second China which is now challenging US supremacy. This war is not about Iran going nuclear. Iran was never a threat to US. This war is about US flexing its muscles to China over global oil trade and maintaining the dollar supremacy. US had no option but to stop the Chinese else Yuan would have become global currency. The war is actually between US and China and others are just side players. The repercussions of this war will be felt for many decades and it is not going to end soon. #Trump #Iran #middleeastwars

@xevnoc @mdubowitz Are the UAE and Israel also under decades of economic sanctions?

Yes, Iran is an economic failure for a number of reasons. A better comparison would be somewhere like the UAE. in 1976 the economy was roughly the same size as that of Israel. Today the economies of the UAE and Israel are roughly the same size despite there being 10 million Israelis and just 1.5 million Emiratis. Iran is also sitting on a lot more oil and gas than UAE, and has a lot more geographic advantages than UAE to deliver its energy. They could easily be ridiculously rich if it wasn't for the political situation.

In 1976, Iran’s GDP was $76B and Israel’s was $16B — Iran’s economy nearly 5x larger. In 2026, Israel’s GDP about $700B while Iran’s closer to $300B — Israel’s economy 2x+ larger — despite 90 million Iranians and just 10 million Israelis. The Islamic Republic is a disaster.

Israel’s legal title to the Land is ironclad under international law - and it was permanently reaffirmed on this day in 1946. On April 18, 1946, the League of Nations dissolved itself & transferred its “sacred trust” to the United Nations: the Mandate for Palestine. That legally binding document, unanimously approved by all 51 member states on July 24, 1922, granted the Jewish people irrevocable title to settle anywhere in western Palestine - the roughly 10,000 square miles between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea (today’s Israel, Gaza, and the so-called “West Bank”). Britain had already sliced off 77% of the original Mandate to create Transjordan (today’s Jordan) out of “eastern Palestine” as a reward for the Hashemites. The remainder - from the river to the sea - remained the Jewish National Home under international law. “Palestine” was never an Arab state, never a nationality, and never even an Arabic word. It derives from the Roman provincial name Syria Palaestina, imposed in 135 CE after the Bar Kokhba Revolt to erase the name Judea and its Jewish identity. The term itself comes from the ancient Philistines - ancient Aegean enemies of the Jews. Under Ottoman and British rule, local Arabs considered themselves part of Greater Syria. British Mandate documents spoke of “Jews and Arabs of Palestine” - never “Jews and Palestinians.” The flagship institutions (Palestine Post, Palestine Symphony Orchestra, Anglo-Palestine Bank) were all Jewish. Crucially, the Mandate reserved political rights to self-determination for the Jews alone. Arabs received full civil rights and their own political rights in four other mandates: Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Transjordan. Article 80 of the UN Charter preserved every Jewish right under the Mandate when the League dissolved. Israel’s legal title isn’t a “settler-colonial” fever dream. It is the last unamended international accord on the land; and it remains in force to this day. They’ve spent eight decades gaslighting the world with a fabricated “indigenous” peoplehood that never existed before the 1960s. The documents don’t lie.

@Soccer_Stats @CptAllenHistory And they had every right to do so. The mandate allowed Jews to establish a national home, not a Jewish state in Palestine. Claiming a state while owning less than 6% of the land and making up less than ⅓ of the demographic was the ridiculous part.

@Soccer_Stats @CptAllenHistory It doesn't. First, conquest was outlawed by then. Second, the war was as a consequence of Zionist aggression in Palestine—the massacres and ethnic cleansing of Arab villages in both territories assigned to the Arab state and the Jewish state—with the implementation of Plan Dalet.

@Soccer_Stats @CptAllenHistory It doesn't change the fact that Israel's legal borders are that assigned in the partition plan, and not that of Mandatory Palestine. Israeli courts, including the supreme court, have consistently affirmed that Israel was not the successor of Mandatory Palestine.

@sharonhchilvers @RabbiPoupko There were many kingdoms in that land even at that particular time. The Kurkh Monolith also mentions Gindibu, who was with Ahab as part of a coalition called the "League of Twelve Kings" led by Hadadezer of Damascus against Assyrian expansion. Gindibu and his camelry were Arabs.

Stop saying Israel was promised to us 3000 years ago. This is the Kurkh Monolith. It was discovered in Kurdistan in 1861 by British archaeologist John George Taylor and stands today in the British Museum in London 🇬🇧 It is 2900 years old and has Assyrian king Shalmaneser III speak about his battle against Ahab the king of ISRAEL in the Battle of Qarqar. "2,000 chariots, 10,000 soldiers of Ahab the Israelite" By then, The kingdom of Israel had been in place for HUNDREDS of years already. Jews are indigenous to the land of Israel.
