Honestly, this isn't a good move. It's good to tip and appreciate but vet the person first. Many of these plumbers are very dishonest, if you deal with them often you will understand. The fact is you might need plumbing work again, and you'll call him. If he's the dishonest type, he will be adding money to whatever he comes to do for you. Because he has seen you have money. One I've been using will come fix something in my house and before you know it, another thing will spoil and I will call him again. This happened for 1 month and I decided to monitor him, I called the security man in the compound, cause he had learnt plumbing but wasn't practicing, he came and checked everything in the bathroom and inspected it. Then I called the plumber to come and fix the weak Water Closet handle, cause it wasn't flushing well. When he was done, he left and I called the security man to come and inspect the bathroom again. On inspecting, he found out that the drainage pipe from the WC outside was loosen, I called him back and I confronted him about it. He denied at first, but we showed him video when we were doing inspection and he eventually apologized and all that, but I never used him again. I'm not saying don't be kind to these people, many of them are very dishonest. Get to know them, when they buy things from the market to fix your stuff, go to the market also and verify yourself. Ask for receipts etc. - Many of them use appreciation to make you loose your guard, when you yup them, the way they'll thank you ehn. Thank you sir, I appreciate sir, they'll be so excited. When you lose your guard, they'll slowly start scamming you, especially when you send them to get things in the market to fix whatever they want to fix. They'll buy fake one and keep part of the money lol Some will add money to whatever they're buying. OMO! Let me just stop here.
