Agree. Apart from making unique tactic strategy type functions they can do, game's like Bannerlord incorporate randomized AI behaviour. Which could maybe help in terms of unpredictability and the same strategy not always being viable every single time. And not just talking every instance but moment to moment.

The Wedge’s AI kinda feel like a self fulfilling prophecy. They want the hard AI to be less cheesable and more difficult, but they make them so difficult you have to cheese them. And this has been happening forever The raiders were so much harder than regular scavs so people just reverse engineered their pathing and cheesed them making them easy The rogues were harder because of how far they could kill you from so people reversed engineered their pathing and cheesed them The black division had to be harder than the rogues and so people reversed engineered their pathing and cheese them And the Black division boss has to be harder than the black division. So we’ve arrived at this place where once people figure out the best way to kill him, everyone will just spam that strategy. I get it, I want tarkov to be hardcore too. I want this game to be challenging, punishing and hard because that’s what makes it rewarding. But who even is this for? I’m not saying it’s an easy fix and I’m definitely not saying I have all the answers but it just feels like it’s going in the wrong direction. They’ve painted themselves into a corner where each new ai has to be harder and if they just keep cranking up reaction time and movement speed then they start breaking their own desire for “realism” and the ai basically become superhumans. I just wish they would explore other ways of making the new ai more challenging. Idk, just some thoughts. Would love to know what yall think.

@Velion The NL needs recoil nerfs I agree but running around with m80 blasters with 0 recoil that you can buy from traders for 0 effort vs guns you have to actually craft or do “hard” quests to unlock good ammo was the reason the TTK has gone so much. This much recoil isgood for the game

Been keeping an eye on GZW since launch as I can see the potential it has. Updates like these show that you guys are doing more than just adding content on top of the foundation. You're actually building the game and iterating and improving everything. The sound, gunplay and overall feel were my biggest painpoints and I can see them getting objectively more and more good.

They didn't add it for "broader appeal", they directly stated that PvE was genuinely not fun and once they added PvP the overall consensus was that it was far more enjoyable. Yes the lore has them living in the same community but they are under the watch of security and needing to keep the peace. Topside there is no one to police what happens with rivalries and criminality. I'm a similar kind of player to you where I prefer to try be friendly first and fight only in defence. It just makes what we do that much more meaningful with the threat of people shooting you in the back.

@OdmupPet @muaxh03 Except the lore has us all liv9ng in the same one community. Remember, arc started as PvE, only had the pvp added for "broader appeal". I aim to always be the kind player. Unless I get shot first, then im dropping several bait grenades and its all consequences.

Some things to clarify. I was mad when I posted that. I don’t care about the stuff I lost, it was literally nothing. What made me angry was the person saying “don’t shoot” and then shooting. It’s not like that can’t happen, but it ruins the experience because now you can’t even trust people who say “don’t shoot” anymore. I don’t know if the next friendly person I meet is actually friendly or just baiting. I do use my mic, I just don’t record my own voice, but in-game people can hear me. When I said there will be no friendly players left, I meant it will become really hard to trust anyone. People use friendliness as bait and then shoot, so over time even the nicest players will start shooting on sight. Eventually no one will bother being friendly anymore. Sure, you can revive after, but people will start betraying that too, and it will end up like Tarkov where not a single person is friendly, which is what I am worried about. I hope that does not happen, but it looks unavoidable to me.

I'm not going to do more posts for PvE anymore, because I think I already explained it, I like the game, and I would also like a separate optional PvE mode. That's literally it. But some of you understands this like I hate the game, and like I want to change the whole game or something, no I'm enjoying the game and liking it, it's just a request from the devs, no more different than asking for a feature from devs. It's so weird that some of you can't understand that. It's totally ok if you disagree but that doesn't mean I hate the game, you're just making baseless assumptions. as for the "removed PvE completely" I meant it as the game was being developed as a PvE only experience and they changed that, that's what I meant.

@MaydayzOCE @muaxh03 I apologize for making the observation that there are already a ton of great PvE games out there and there is a group of people out there wanting to bend other games to their liking.

There might be a few people who are saying "it would be cool" but there is a vocal minority of people who are stating that they want it and that it needs it. Yes gaming is for everyone, but there are a ton of PvE only games out there for those that want PvE only. You don't need to force other games to change because of your taste.
