Any other autistic people found out that someone you thought was a friend - and definitely nothing more - thought you were ‘seeing each other’ and telling people about it? Not a recent experience but it used to happen to me and other autistic women I know. Is this a thing?

Sought advice from @Autism & @PDASociety - now speaking with solicitors. I’ve spent 4+ years dealing with them, nothing has changed. They think they are above the law- #reasonableAdjustment #equalityAct #indirectdisabilitydiscrimination #discriminationarisingfromdisability

#PISSONPITY we just want the adaptions SEN & neurodivergent people deserve! The world. The school system, everyone out there IS FAILING those who are disabled with neurodiversity. I’m through being polite & trying to fix things by the book! I’m shouting LOUD!

@neuroteachers @MatRyanELATeach I’m the same. I do enjoy reading scripts / short poems, however. But if I were to read anything else fiction, it would be quite painful. Gimme movies though and I can psycho analyse these to the hilt!

If you were hiring a teacher, what is the top criteria you would look for? For me it would be that they are a reader.

@MatRyanELATeach The only reading I‘ve done lately has been closed minded tweets, from dinosaurs, perhaps, who need to consider #Representation #DiversityandInclusion of staff in classrooms, to reflect the students they teach. Just my thoughts though…

@PaulGarvey4 did you see this? The school just blocked me. No response! How draconian.

BTW, they have excluded *no-one* in the last two years and they lie in the middle quintile for deprivation, with pockets of significant poverty in their catchment. This is not a leafy suburb school. Some of their PP kids have gone on to Oxbridge.

I have recently worked with one of the biggest secondary schools in the country. P8 way sig+. Their behaviour is excellent & their approach is built on relationships. It is a million miles away from control & punishment & it works. Don’t let *anyone* tell you this is impossible.
