A new short film about volunteering in rural Inverclyde was premiered at the Waterfront cinema in Greenock on Wednesday. It will be shown before EVERY film at the cinema in March. We will share the film on our socials once we get a copy.

We reopen the bookshop and gallery today! We'll be open Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat 11am-3pm until the end of February Today is Blue Monday, we're supporting the launch of Compassionate Inverclyde's Star Bright campaign bringing some light in the darkness. Look out for our purple stars!

@ukrailadventure If he likes stations as well as trains, you guys should visit Wemyss Bay. Stunning looking station and often wins awards for its architecture. If you time it right during the summer, the Royal Scotsman will be in From there you can go over to Rothsey on the Isle of Bute

The journey is over for us at Stirling but that means that we get to watch our train depart as it continues on towards Edinburgh. We're off for a little chill out, hes done around 14k steps today all in freezing cold and without a fuss. He's a real trooper!

Wemyss Bay Station Bookshop is set to host a Christmas Bookbug and Craft session with stories, rhymes and making for those 5 years and under. The Station Friends are giving every child taking part a free book, badge and bookmark.

Local author Colin Turbett sent these photos in from Portrush, Northern Ireland - something may seem similar? Built in 1893, it predates our station, and was listed in 1976. The old station is now a shop and a bar, whilst a new station building was built behind this in 2019
