Ask a farmer what it cost to build something himself and he'll tell you nothing. He spent three weeks in the shop, burned fuel, used material, wore down equipment. The bill is never nothing. Farmers are just the worst in the world at valuing their own time.

🚨Great maps here showing the UAE's oil fields, geography, and its west-to-east pipeline, the Habshan-Fujairah oil line. Map 1: Note the fact that UAE territory extends to the eastern side of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital reality which provides an ability to bypass the Strait. Map 2: Note the pipeline, which runs 252 miles across the eastern half of the country. The Habshan-Fujairah line has a nominal capacity of 1.5 million barrels per day. But the UAE points out it can carry as much as 1.8 million/day in special situations. The line has been carrying about 1.3 million bpd in recent weeks, scaled back under the yoke of OPEC+ quota system. As of May 1, the UAE will be able to ramp that up to export an additional half-million barrels of crude each day, enabling it to take advantage of the current high price environment while other Persian Gulf states are forced to scale back and even shut-in their production. We should expect the UAE's next move to be doubling or even tripling the capacity of this vital artery to enable it to bypass the Strait altogether, thus robbing Iran of any ability to disrupt its future exports.
