Translators, investigators, intel, medical.
The things they have to see, listen to, translate. The lives on the line if they mess up.

What's ignorant is thinking you only get PTSD on deployment.
There's plenty of jobs that cause high stress without being on the front line.
Training accidents happen. Assault, abuse, and the nature of certain jobs can cause problems, too.

As the armorer for my dept, generally a Glock 17 or 47. 19 works as well and ironically most people actually shoot a 19 better despite the shorter sight radius. By and large I’m against the 1911 or 2011 variant for patrol use. It’s fine for some gun guys, but not for the masses. That weapons system requires more maintainence due to tighter tolerances and generally due to the handfit nature of the parts, if it goes down, it has to be sent in. Compared to a Glock which I can generally service in about 5 minutes. Lastly, generally 1911s aren’t drop safe.
