Assisted another officer at a DV call. A seven year old called it in. Her dad is going to jail and her mom was taken to the hospital. As I sat with her she asked me to braid her hair. She said, “I want to look nice if my mom wakes up.” No kid should have to experience this.

While I don’t speak for all of us out here working the lines, if you’d like to donate to the fire crews, please consider donating clothes + food/water to the displaced folks and their pets instead. They have a very long road ahead of them and could use all the support 🫶🏻

My wife is out there fighting one of these goddamn fires and I am sick to my stomach. So much loss and devastation. I have coworkers who had to evacuate and ultimately have lost their homes.

May is Lupus Awareness Month and today is #WorldLupusDay so chances are, you’ll see a lot of purple out there today from folks showing support for all of us fighting this disease. It’s an infusion day for me so the techs are in purple scrubs 💜👐

@TwittleAir I’ve been away. Work was keeping me unbelievably busy and with two kids in the house, I felt like I didn’t have a lot of downtime. I heard her in the kitchen so I know she climbed the counter but she’s SOL in the hallway 😂
