@ray__aero @rayazianoris Or maybe haha
the training just got more realistic. That drowning incident made the rescue exercise even more real
English

@ray__aero @rayazianoris No, of course not
it takes part in African Lion exercises every year

@grainedebote @MarioNawfal Don’t be ridiculous. The training area is fully isolated from surrounding civilian zones. Tan-Tan is far from any conflict area; the Polisario is based in Tindouf in southern Algeria

@MarioNawfal A t on seulement pensé un seul instant que le polisario les a peut-être kidnappé ? Qu’en sait-on???

🇺🇸🇲🇦 Two U.S. soldiers are still missing in Morocco after a tragic incident during Exercise African Lion 2026.
-Soldiers were hiking to watch the sunset near the Cap Draa Training Area
-One soldier fell into the water
-A second soldier jumped in to attempt a rescue after a human chain attempt failed
-A third soldier also jumped in but was forced to return to land due to the waves
-Both rescue attempts ended with the original two soldiers swept away
-Search ongoing with drones, vessels, divers, and aircraft
Prayers tonight for them, for the third soldier who tried, and for the units now coordinating recovery in difficult terrain and rough waters.

@BrutalBTCTruths @sentdefender Stop being stubborn
you don’t even know the nature of the area. This is where the river meets the sea, and the currents are very strong. There are no beaches here, only rocky cliffs, and any attempt to swim is risky, especially at high tide

@OfficielNi @sentdefender And you wanna tell me that you're gonna drown in such shallow waters?!
