Despite having a home, I’ve never been able to decorate it as I want. Everything I have furniture-wise is essentially from my childhood bedroom and/or prior apartment along with a few cheap additions here and there. One day I’ll make my house into a proper home, though. 🥹

@oryn_nexus I’ve wanted to do it for so long, but the biggest impediment has been finances especially with recent layoffs.

@OfflineReactor It’s not silly to want to make your house a home. It can be a lot of work, but it brings about a certain warmth

It’s nearly 2am and people are still setting off visibly illegal fireworks in the neighborhood. My poor cat son has been terrified all day and has now taken up crying tonight. 🥲

I’ve tried getting him comfy but any loud boom sends him trying to shove himself into a hiding place while screaming.
