Instead of addressing Fred Matiang’i’s very valid concern as to why the State House budget has ballooned to Ksh 17 billion, even as capitation to schools is reduced, and as our national referral hospitals struggle with broken equipment and inadequate support for patients, the response we get is insults? This is a new low, even by the standards we have unfortunately come to expect. All in all, Matiang’i’s question still stands, untouched by insults and distractions. What exactly is Ksh 17 billion at State House being used for?
