@0BurkeBlack0 Absolutely not. If you want a mic that far away, keep the current shotgun mic or get a different condenser mic. To get the most out of an sm7b, it really does need to be 3-4 inches away from your mouth. Other wise you have to crank the gain up it’ll sound horrible.

Those of you that use a SM7B mic, how close does it have to be to work effectively? I dont like mics right in my face, and was thinking I could put it here aimed at me, would that work?

Good news! The Windows driver team at AMD was able to track down the bug using our tool. It should be fixed starting with the driver update that went out in January. If you were affected please update drivers and re-run and let me know if the leak is resolved.
