Crosby Mcdavid Ovechkin Mario Gretzky Jagr Orr Lindstrom Hasek Roy Franchise players are elite elite but not quite the best of their era.. Joe Sakic Sundin Lafontaine Mogilny Mackinnon Adam oats Brett Hull Pierre Turgeon Curtis Joseph Carey Price Matthews Draisaitl Kucherov Eichle Quinn Hughes Then you have players that will trigger debates.. Lindros was going to be generational but injuries killed that. Forsberg.. considered by many the best swede to ever lace em up, another injury plagued career but i'd argue for him being close. Cale Makar could end up being Generational when it's all said and done, he's on that path at the moment. Ray bourque. Paul Coffee likely could be called generational as they were the best of the best in the 80's on D. I just don't like to give our generational easily..
