The Man Stanley Osifo, the Arrangee APC 2026 Presidential Candidate (Thread) Stanley Osifo, APC and their arrangee primaries. APC thinks that they are smart and Nigerians are fóols. They packaged Stanley Osifo, a man who is in the business of running for presidential primaries. A little search on the web will show you little or no details about this dude. All you will get is that he's an Edo born businessman and graduate of Lagos State University. After this, nothing else is linked to him. In 2018, this same dude paid 12million naira for the nomination form and expression of interest form of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries. At the time of the purchase, this Stanley guy was rumored to be a mole in the party. The Nation Newspaper also corroborated this story. (Image attached below) Can you believe that after this dude spent 12m to purchase these forms, he ghosted and never participated in the presidential primaries of PDP. (You can check list of PDP presidential primaries candidates). Only for him to show up again 8 years later to contest primaries under the APC for their Presidential ticket with Tinubu as the party's god😂. Infact this decision was after APC changed from their original plan of having Bola Tinubu as their unopposed candidate. What does that tell you? It was an arrangee. The same Stanley Osifo that ghosted primaries in 2018 suddenly woke up one morning and decided to challenge Bola Tinubu 😂 Infact if we look at everything holistically, Stanley Osifo was still a member of PDP if we go by his purchasing of the parties forms in 2018. There's no way someone who was tagged the “youngest presidential candidate” would defect to APC and the media that gave him a tag in 2018 won't run a story on him. Nothing was said about his political history, he just came out of the blues and became an APC candidate 😂 What does that also tell you? 😂

In the early 1980s, Nigeria had a governor so powerful that people believed he could decide who became president. That man was Olusola Saraki, the political godfather of Kwara State. A sitting governor once allegedly had to sneak into Ilorin at night just to beg Saraki for political forgiveness after falling out with him. In Kwara politics, people used to joke that “Saraki is the governor, the elected man is only occupying the office.” For decades, almost every major political office in Kwara moved through his network: Governors, Senators, House of Reps members, Local government chairmen If Saraki pointed at someone nobody knew, that person could suddenly become senator. If he turned against a powerful politician, their career could collapse almost overnight. The wildest twist came years later. His own son, Bukola Saraki, inherited the political empire and became one of the most powerful politicians in Nigeria governor, senator, then Senate President. But then came 2019. A political movement called “Ó To Ge” (“Enough is Enough”) rose against the Saraki dynasty in Kwara. People who once believed the family was politically untouchable voted them out almost completely. A dynasty that controlled Kwara politics for nearly 40 years was shaken in one election cycle. Sounds like a Netflix political drama. Completely real.

Something interesting happened at Transcorp’s AGM that most people scrolled past. Shareholders gave the board full authority to acquire, sell or restructure any business under the group without needing approval again. ₦544 billion revenue. Profit up 44%. ₦4.78 trillion market cap. ₦1 trillion in assets. They own Transcorp Hilton, Transcorp Power, Transafam Power, AEDC and oil assets. Power, hotels, energy, oil all under one roof. You do not hand your board that kind of blank check unless there is already a plan on the table. Watch this space.

A million dollar in America is life-changing money. A million dollar in America will buy you a house, literally puts you on your path to financial freedom. A million pounds in the UK I’m sure can buy you a house and probably change your life financially. A million South African Rand can buy you a house. A million naira in Nigeria can’t even rent you a place today. A million Naira cannot arrange you a comfortable place to stay in Nigeria of today. I want you guys to understand how cooked Nigeria is. Honestly…

@fimiletoks It would also be good that we also discuss the success stories before then. Aside the usually Nigerian problems which include nepotism, those coys appear like left over from many successful earlier ones. Many those 2000s never have required odds to survive.

A lot was wrong with the privatisation program between 2003, 2007 and 2013. We just have to move on as a country and put them behind us. *Nitel - 2001 *ALSCON - 2007 - $3.2bn sold for $130m *Delta Steel Company - 2005 - $1.5bn sold for $30m *Osogbo, Jos Steel Rolling Mills- sold in 2005 *Steyr Nigerian Limited ( manufacturers of Tractors and trucks ) 2005 sold for N700m *Ajaokuta steel - 2004 * MMA 2 - 2003 * Lagos Ibadan Expressway - 2009 * Power privatisation - 2013. The sad part was that some of the "investors" who purchased the entities didn't make full payment till date.

But nobody claps when you scrap fuel subsidy, float the naira, or borrow. Necessary ≠ popular. You need true believers for tough calls. GEJ was short. If PBAT has plenty, why all the noise?
