I extend my heartfelt concern and solidarity to all residents of Osogbo who have been affected by the recent heavy downpour that has caused disruption across parts of our city. These are difficult moments, and I deeply empathize with families whose homes, properties, and livelihoods have been impacted.
At times like this, our strength lies in our unity and compassion for one another. I urge everyone to remain calm, stay safe, and support neighbors who may be in distress, especially the elderly, children, and the vulnerable among us.
Stay safe!
In times when the road became uncertain and the pressure intense, you stood firm, never retreating, never compromising, never losing faith. Your courage and unwavering support are not just admirable, they are rare. You have proven that true loyalty is not tested in comfort, but in adversity and you passed that test with honor. Happy Birthday @skayadetona

BREAKING: Court grants former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, bail in his DSS case as judge in his EFCC case cancels the previous bail granted and fixes March 6, 2026 for a new bail application hearing
Malami was re-arraigned today by the EFCC over money ...
1. Insufferable jesters
2. Utterly delusional
3. Reckless
4. Flippant
5. Confused bunch
6. Political wanderers
All these insults in one press statement from Mr. Felix Morka, the NPS of the APC.
Unfortunately, this is the kind of language that I spent two years teaching spokespersons of the APC to avoid because it is unbefitting of a ruling party, or any public communication in a democratic society. But then, this says a lot.
Nigerians understand the difference between measured communication and political overreaction. When a party in government resorts this quickly to insults over a straightforward call for accountability, reasonable citizens are entitled to ask what exactly is provoking such visible irritation.
The African Democratic Congress will not be distracted by name-calling or narrative smokescreens. Our position remains simple and consistent: violence in our political space must be investigated transparently, professionally, and without premature absolution. If the APC is as confident as it claims, it should welcome the same sunlight and due process it now so loudly invokes.
The APC tactic is straight from the dictatorship playbook: attack the opposition, then blame them for attacking themselves. But no one is falling for it. Maybe they should start by talking to their Edo State Governor.
This afternoon, I joined other leaders of the main opposition parties in Nigeria, at a Joint Press Conference in Abuja.
We rejected the 2026 Electoral Act hastily signed into law by the Bola Tinubu-led APC administration. The rejection was followed by a call to reenact the law in line with the wishes and aspirations of Nigerians.
I totally agree with Dr Ajuji Ahmed, the National Chairman of the New Nigerian People's Party(NNPP) who clearly articulated our rejection of the amended 2026 Electoral Act, especially section 60(3) which encourages INEC to also adopt manual instead of mandatory real-time electronic transmission of results to the IREV portal, under claims of network failure in a country with more than 90% Internet coverage.
We also jointly rejected section 84(2) that imposes Direct or Consensus mode of primary election on political parties.
I also agree with Dr Ajuji, that the amended Electoral Act 2026 is
offensive, anti-democratic and a deliberate attempt by the APC-led National Assembly to undermine transparency and sanctity of our elections.
I used the occasion to call on all opposition political parties to join in this mission to rescue our Democracy.
Now is the time to push back on the rigging plan ahead of 2027. -AA
