Year 6 had the pleasure of meeting artist @stan_chow on their way back from the Space Convention. Amazingly, they had just finished a unit of work on his incredible art and he was kind enough to spend time with them talking and signing autographs.

Our teaching steering group are working hard consider what flexible grouping looks like across our family of schools. Identifying key steps and breaking these down to support deliberate practice.

Last week we had out first visit from @dogstrust.bsky.social who talked to children across school about how to care for animals and how to be safe around dogs. They will be returning to school later this month to visit the remainder of our children 🐶🐾

Help make some bat boxes for Old Moat Park on Saturday 1st March from 10am to 12noon with Friends of @OldMoatPark. A free event - first come, first served for children aged 7+, who need to be accompanied by an adult. All welcome to attend from our local community in Old Moat.

Great to see some of our children from The Hive and Years 5/6 participating in the Key Stage Two, Ten Pin Bowling event as part of the Tameside School Sports Partnership @tamesidessp - they had a great time and made a fantastic team. #teamwork #Inclusion

🎅Christmas in Withington is on Friday 6 December at 5pm outside the Red Lion Pub on Wilmslow Rd.🎄 There will be a brass band, local choirs, a visit from father christmas, gifts for the kids, festive refreshments and a great community event for everyone in Withington Village.🎁
