But just because one hill cannot be bypassed surely doesn’t mean another shouldn’t be either

As we move towards the #LivingStreets vote on Monday, we have a simple question: how can any adult or child cycle safely via Tivoli Road? There is simply no space. Just lines of traffic & narrow pavements. There has to be a better way @dunlaoghairecra @DunLaoghaireTT @RoadTivoli

@mollox @SupportLivingSt @dunlaoghairecra @DunLaoghaireTT @RoadTivoli All of which is to say - tivoli is a residential neighbourhood road. It is made a thoroughfare by the cars that use it as a bypass. Reduce car traffic will return it to its natural purpose.

@mollox @SupportLivingSt @dunlaoghairecra @DunLaoghaireTT @RoadTivoli So at the moment there is nowhere on tivoli rd where two buggies - or a buggy and a wheelchair, or two wheelchairs - take your pick - can pass one another on the same side. A wider footpath would help, but then how do you make sure houses on the side with no path have a safe exit
