I worry that both sides of the issue might be going to the extreme.
It is 100% absurd to deny that Jesus or the apostles were Jewish. They were Jewish. Salvation is from the Jews.
However, it is equally insane to say Jesus and the Old Testament saints believed in a different religion than Christians do today.
The term “Christianity” is just the continuation of old testament Judaism. It is not something new. “Christ” just means “messiah.”
From Adam, to Noah, to Abraham, to David, to the apostles- they all had faith in the triune God and His promise to send the messiah who would crush the serpents head. That is what their religion was. They did not practice a different religion. They worshiped Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth based on what God revealed to them at the time, just like us today.
It is dangerous territory to deny this stuff out of fear of antisemitism.

I would like to remind every sane person in the UK and abroad, that our Social Services arranged the marriage of an underage girl, living in a Bradford care home, to a Muslim, who had been abusing her since she was just 13 years old.
Her husband, "Zulqurnean, forced the victim to wear Islamic dress, eat a halal diet and stopped her from seeing her family because they were “non-believers.” He was also reported to have sometimes locked the victim in a cellar, sexually abused her and deprived her of food, education and medical care".
The Social Worker, who attended the wedding, was questioned by police but was not charged.

It was truly awful to see that not a single bishop turned up for the remembrance of Ann Widdecombe in the House of Lords this week.
A woman of deep, unwavering Roman Catholic faith, Ann centred her entire life and political career on her Christian beliefs, from her principled stands on life issues to her tireless advocacy for persecuted Christians. Her devotion to both Church and country was total and courageous.
Even if they disagreed with some of her views, the least the Lords Spiritual could have done was show basic respect for her lifelong dedication. Instead, their absence speaks volumes: too lost in woke values, lacking the courage to honour a woman of real conviction. A sad reflection on where parts of the establishment Church have drifted.
Rest in peace, Ann, you were a true servant of faith and principle. 🙏

A difference between Catholics and Orthodox I’ve seen, is that most Catholics hope and pray for reunification, whereas the average Orthodox gets sick at the idea of reunifying the church.
Catholics want to bring the entire Orthodox Church back into full communion, where the Orthodox think that every Catholic should convert to orthodoxy on an individual basis until unity is achieved.
The former *could* happen, the latter never will.
It goes back to the Council of Florence where the Orthodox hierarchy formally accepted the Pope and the Filioque, but were met with riots from the layman when they returned to Greece, where they eventually caved and reignited the schism.
Constantinople fell 14 years later and was the last of the 4 Orthodox sees to fall to the gates of hell.
