I’ve mostly felt the same way but have been trying to rethink things ever since I saw someone mention that the likelihood of children reporting their abusers would go down if threatened with “if you tell anyone, they’ll kill me”

@schmeeboh @bethbourdon To be clear, we should absolutely not be executing anyone, which is something I believe both because God doesn't want us to, AND because its methods are horribly cruel, many convictions are made in error, and it's many times more expensive than life imprisonment would've been.

@schmeeboh @bethbourdon Oh man, I'm amazed people still don't know how bad Lethal Injection is. Doctors won't even get involved in the injections because of the massive pain involved (also bc Hippocratic Oath) so MANY of these executions are painfully botched. It's not uncommon to survive, maimed badly.
