@uNdu_Mk To use his body well to defend. He is a good player, I'm not saying he is a bad player, but it seems as if at this level with TLB the partnership isnt the best. We need someone who provides security and we feel the back is safe.

@uNdu_Mk Let me try: when we have possession with him on the ball, he seems unsure. He plays bouncing possession or passes that almost in no man's land when he plays them across to TLB. At times, he seems easy to beat when the attacker is nippy and has a quick acceleration and struggles..

Can someone please explain this to me like I'm 3 years old. So he takes the test, fails, but Coach Khumalo says this doesn't mean he is over-aged, so then what did he fail if he is not older than the determined U17 World Cup age restriction? Im so confused
Austin Ditlhobolo@A_B_Ditlhobolo

Age Issue Denied Stevie G Unfortunately, Steven Mendes failed an MRI test hence he missed out on the ongoing #U17WorldCup. (Game On) The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan is used to verify the age of players for under-17 (U17) football competitions. This is a FIFA-approved method for checking for age fraud. Nevertheless, the SA youth international netted his first goal of the #DstvDiskiChallenge season this past weekend and he is one of the Kaizer Chiefs players to watch out for when they face Orlando Pirates on Sunday.

And I really don't wanna disrespect Fiji, but a country where we hardly hear nothing football related was able to have funds to go camp in Saudi Arabia. Us, a so called football nation with a great youth system, still haven't laced our boots to prepare for the World Cup! FIJI!!!

@Football__Stage Yooooh theres more stories? Ish please deliver the stories clearly cos as South Africans we have a habit of posting click bait half stories. You've been doing a wonderful job reporting on the future of this country. So as it stands, SAFA are at the biggest fault?

A project that started back in 2023 with the main objective being to reach the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup is now being sabotaged by our own association 💔

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝟏𝟕 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐅𝐂𝐎𝐍…𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 Back in 2023 SAFA and FIFA launched the Talent Development Scheme programme in South Africa. The programme started with LFAs and SAFA Regions hosting trials which resulted in the selection of provincial squads. All nine provincial squads descended upon Johannesburg to participate in the SAFA TDS U15 Inter Provincial Tournament which also included seven academies. At the end of the tournament an U15 National Team was selected and that team has evolved to be the U17 National Team that will compete at the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations. This team evolved over the period of +/- 18 months and new players came in while others didn’t make it as the team played in various TDS tournaments and friendly matches which included traveling to Morocco, Columbia and Ivory Coast. Today out of the 23 boys that were selected in the SAFA TDS U15 Inter Provincial Tournament 7 boys have made it to the final squad that will participate at AFCON Lwandiso Radebe Bokamoso Mokokosi [Captain] Liam Marthinus Lebogang Mswane Emile Witbooi Simphiwe Mlondo Kgaogelo Monanyane SAFA Technical Director Walter Steenbok who has led this project from its inception has always stated that the goal is to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup and today our journey to the World Cup begins. I’ve had the privilege of watching this project from its infancy and watched these kids grow as footballers and as humans, today is a special day for them and I just want to wish them all the best at their first major tournament. 100% behind Amajimbos 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

I don't understand how a youth team, and U17 team denies a kid a chance to perform at the highest level. Isn't the point of development to allow these kids to play and expose themselves to the highest quality of football?
Velile Mnyandu 🇿🇦@Velile_Mnyandu

🇿🇦 SAFA confirm that lack of funding has affected Amajimbos preparations for U17 World Cup. 🔸 No preparation matches since April 🔸 Almost 90% of the team from the AFCON not available. 🔸Depart for Qatar 🇶🇦 on 30 October, play first game 3rd November. #SABCSport411 sabcsport.com/soccer/news/sa…

@SAFA_net should invest some of the participating and bonus money from AFCON and the World Cup into the Trans Transnet School of Excellence. South Africa CANNOT afford to lose that institution. @robertmarawa

@ClubBrugge and @orlandopirates will pay for their crimes against Shandre Campbell and Mbokazi. Denying them of participating in a world cup is foul man. Every player dreams of playing in a world cup, what if they never get this opportunity again?
