I have just finished doing the draft typed answers to the WCA50 for my son’s application for LCWRA - 77 pages, with some tidying up and fixes to come. I have consultant reports, EHCP, letters from school and social workers. I am giving the assessors no chance.

@moog77 Really appreciate that Chris! I've tested it to death but only against the schools that I subjectively know which clearly isn't like 15000 🤣 so thats invaluable!

So - I did a thing. sendlens.vercel.app seND Lens is now live in an early state! A tool to try and help parents understand and look at school data around how individual schools *may* be doing with SEN, particularly ND SEN. Expansion below!

@moog77 @_colourmeamused True, but starmer is not going to make things any better at this point. And I say that as someone who thinks he's generally ok. But far too indecisive, zero charisma and terrible communicator. (Zero desire to see streeting in mind you)

@_colourmeamused Labour have been disappointing in govt so far, but these continued leadership changes are becoming tiresome. We're like some premier league team constantly swapping managers and still struggling to fend off relegation

Anyway. If you have a passing interest...please check it out. Errors expected (!), but will be refined hopefully. To my knowledge this is the first analysis and tool of it's type targeting this specific measure, so hoping it'll be useful. Feedback appreciated! ☺️

This is almost certainly because this is how poor Sen implementation handles "difficult" children. A known outcome. Secondly....the picture gets extremely interesting when you look at multi academy trusts, and the site captures this.

@OmicronData How long has she known? Timing could be (likely is) down to her and will cause some ruffled feathers. I am not sure if Streeting will back down. He stands no chance against her if goes to members

I have no issue with her being cleared - this was always, in my view, an honest mistake. The timing of her being cleared however....I find interesting.

EXCL: Angela Rayner has been cleared by HMRC of deliberate wrongdoing or carelessness over her tax affairs, paving the way for a potential leadership bid if Keir Starmer’s grip on power unravels. The former DPM has settled £40,000 in unpaid stamp duty, but has not paid any penalty as a result of the investigation. HMRC was also satisfied there was no tax avoidance. Rayner tells me she was “bruised” by whole experience because of intrusion into her disabled son’s personal life, but also because it had appeared as though she was “in it for myself” rather than on the side of ordinary people. Rayner indicated she may run in event of a contest as she would “play my part” and that she understood why Labour MPs were so upset following last week’s election crushing. She said Starmer should “reflect on” stepping aside.

@DudeAdhd Some services are at least starting to switch onto this and perform joint assessments of ADHD and ASD, even if initially referred for only one of them - unfortunately this is still slow progress.

@DudeAdhd Agree. The clustering of some of these conditions - ASD and ADHD in particular, but also hyper mobility and I'm sure others (as you allude to) - is grossly underappreciated by most (including most professionals). The coexistence of ADHD and ASD is *really* high!

What does “needs-led” support even mean in the absence of diagnosis and where LAs refuse to do EHCP needs assessments in the first place? This is contradictory, and probably an attempt to appear to do something… Fisher does know this!

@DudeAdhd I don't think ASD is a terrible proxy for how schools deal with ADHD though, although that's gut feeling rather than data driven.

@DudeAdhd Oh absolutely and we can't really comment on quality from the public data. But the willingness of both schools and LA in that area to at least have legally binding needs assessments far outstrips the average which is an indicator.
