Got my project signed yesterday and it was looking great. On something I always wanted to work on. Got triggered by the discrimination and numerous lies that went around during the Imane Khelif 2024 Olympics controversy and decided to write my Long essay on it.

Egbon, you should know the boundaries of conversation. You are a Director at the club side in Lagos, what you are doing doesn't make any sense. Sign him. Sign him. Sign him. What you are doing can be misinterpreted. Ikorodu City during the January transfer window signed 3+ Center Forwards and you are selling zobo that your club pattern doesn't need a CF. Farouk na winger now. Sir, respect your status. 😀😀😀😀

“Nothing is even attractive about your league” I’ve done my best to avoid these conversations out of respect for people involved, and also because of how messy it has become with cheap bait and farming. But this is such a flawed and ignorant take, I’d expect you to know and speak better especially because of your hustle in this journey, and how exposed I expect you to have become now. You should have outgrown this mentality by now, it’s misleading for the next generation of footballers. • “They make professional football look like it’s anything big” - Making it as a Professional footballer is BIG bro, only about 1 in 800 amateur footballers get to make it professionally, do the maths and tell me how it is not a big deal to make it in football that a thousand others want to play, even in Nigeria. Do you know how many of the talented guys we both know that still couldn’t go pro because of this mindset, whereas they could have started as little as they could, and work their way up. Professional football goes beyond just talent. You need to put yourself in environments that develop and push you, which is the point of starting with proving yourself against people in these environments (structured football) as you continue to grow. Heck, even people in fully structured academies in Europe don’t make it professionally sometimes. You know what you went through trying to toughen up with Ladegbuwa, Ijebu United and all the other sacrifices you’ve made before this trip (and you’re still even working your way to pro). You also know deep down the sacrifices these guys you mentioned in your tweet have made to get to the level where they could play organized & structured professional football. They didn’t just appear in these NPFL teams and you know it, reducing them to just “CHANCE” is falsifying the process they went through to get to the heights of even playing for these pro clubs. • “Make we no Dey make NPFL look like say na sth special” - As much as there are a lot of things we complain about the league, THE NPFL IS STILL A BILLION NAIRA WORTH ECOSYSYTEM, with real people earning a living and catering to their families. This is the Elite league of the country and It is always going to be special. NPFL Players are amongst the highest earning Salary Earners in this country. Comparing it to Europe is definitely going to be dishonest because look at our economy obviously (a different topic). You’re grown now, it is important to let the next generation of football players not make the same mistake you’ve made. The pipeline is still very much active (don’t let young players think abroad is the only pro football - the chances are slimmer than we are willing to accept). -Ogede trialed at an NNL team and has promoted to the NPFL. -Bayo has played IKC, Remo and is currently with Inter as well. -Doyin played Inter Lagos before his injury. -Jaguar played first bank, and obviously Remo stars before traveling. They are all professional players with experience in competitive football and environment (which agents will always consider, especially at certain ages where they expect you to be at certain levels of competitiveness). Even if we don’t like to admit, a lot of us know the mistakes we’ve made in our journey, let’s try to make sure we don’t let the next gen make them 👍🏾 Best of luck to us all in our chosen paths.

Na why grassroots teams Dey paste una. No levels. Na why our professional football for Nigeria never reach anywhere. lol. They make professional football look like it’s anything big. In ikorodu, busquets, Matthias, Uche. They have always been good. But nobody gave them a

"He needs to be given a chance". He has been given a chance ffs. He got a trial opportunity at Rangers courtesy of around October - November last year, I was informed, and I know he went for the trial in Enugu, but he wasn't picked. What happened?? Before that, he got trials at Ikorodu City, another NPFL side, what happened? It didn't work out Inter Lagos too, what happened? It didn't work out. Just last year, Sporting Lagos invited him for a trial, but he said he had other plans and rejected it. You people should stop bloody making it sound like the system is against him. At some point, you've gotta look yourself in the mirror and tell yourselves the truth!! Why is everything not working?? Do all clubs have "agenda" against him? Just use your heads and stop the gaslighting!

If you or the boy you are defending were wise, you would know that, in every player's journey, the first set of people NOT to wage war against is the media, but you probably know nothing. It's not even agenda - ANY PLAYER WHO HAS NOT PLAYED PROFESSIONAL IN ANY LEAGUE OR PROFESSIONAL CLUB, IS AN AMATEUR/NO-PROFESSIONAL! I would expect you to know this, but obviously you don't. Also, you saying I don't matter is not something I really care about. You are on the same road to becoming pro, playing for an unknown side in Portugal. What division did you say you are again?? Remind me please. I'm not a photographer, and if I was, it's also a good job - If you were smarter, you wouldn't call it "just" Sports photography is a very noble profession that can take you to places you and your brother have never smelt before. @PoojaMedia is a sports photographer, and has covered countless tournaments, from the World Cup to AFCON, to the Champions League, Premier League, name it. Many others like @seewhat_isaw, @modovictorekene, @QualityQuadry have covered many tournaments also, and made some very cool cash - I wouldn't expect you to know that too, you are not that smart. Should we talk about media aides??😂 Many media aides are more than comfortable, they even tour countries with the people they work for. Don't be a simpleton. I would have expected you to think better before tagging me.

@XvKvng @Toyosi4layan He has gotten trials numerous times from other clubs, failed there. There is nothing Sporting Club needs him for especially when one of the reasons they relegated the first time was following big names instead of actual good players.

@Toyosi4layan Surely there can't be so many downsides to giving him a trial. If he passes, you can keep him around, if he doesn't fit into your plans, other teams can see his talent. If he doesn't pass n proves to not be useful, then you don't have to showcase him. If you wanted ,you would lol

🚨BREAKING 🔵🦂FOOTBALL BUSINESS: WHY SPORTING LAGOS SHOULD SIGN HAKEEM ONITOLO. Following Sporting Lagos promotion into next season’s NPFL, the Lagos based side will be looking to make a shortlist of targets to bolster their squad ahead of next season’s football. One name that ticks a lot of boxes is HAKEEM ONITOLO. Although an unproven grassroot player, he is believed to have what it takes to compete at the highest level when given chance and time to integrate. Hakeem Onitolo has since rising to internet fame has become the most talked about grassroot footballer on the Nigerian internet space. He has created so much awareness about himself which has transformed his image value into a bigger and valuable asset. He has signed ambassadorial deals with brands in the past due to his online popularity. Signing Hakeem Onitolo would be a good move by sporting Lagos ahead of next season. Asides from the on-pitch footballing value he will add to the team, he’ll also add marketing and branding value to the heavily commercial sporting Lagos. His addition into the team would help boost the squad value, boost commercial merchandise and consequently add to the ever attractive grass to grace story of football. I think this is a venture worth pursuing by Sporting Lagos or any other commercial club in the Nigerian league.
